Yes!! Blake's response to a question about victims of DV potentially coming up to her and wanting to talk to her is absolutely disgusting. Colleen is extremely problematic for a lot of reasons from what I've seen.
@@emily_lg5682 ironically Colleen Hoover books is what got me reading again but I never new why she had a lot of bad rep. Now I understand. She gave into Hollywood and disregard what the actual book was about that she wrote. Trying to demonize the DV part of the book and make the movie a rom-com. I didn’t see the movie but now I’m not not interested to see it. Blake left a bad taste.

The movie was sooo good but they left out so many things that I think were important to the story! 😩 But Blake and the casting were perfect. I just read the book so recently so everything was so fresh in my mind too. So glad you guys got to experience it! ❤️ you girls looked STUNNING

Such a stunning trio! I’ve read all of the CoHo books as well and I’m so happy to see a positive review of the movie. I’ve only seen negative reviews, but I haven’t seen it yet!!
I did not love the movie. They didnt do a good job portraying the DV & i completely disliked how they made it seem like she believed when he hit her it was all accidental and then flashbacked to the end where she realized when in the book she confronted him each time. Feels like they made us women look somewhat stupid. Also it feels like Blake was trying to make this a girls movie and completely ignore the DV point of view and a trigger warning should of been added since this is real life for some people. In my opinion it had potential to be so much more than what it was they also ignored so much important little details from the book 😩.

Ok so I didn't read the book or nothing. But I watched the movie last night. I was excited to watch it bc everyone kept talking about how great it was. I must say I was not overly impressed. I mean Blake lively was amazing but overall the movie was very predictable.
I think it was so emotional & realistic of what women really go through in abusive relationships. The way they made it look like a “mistake” in the beginning & then showing her strength at the end of the movie I thought was so well done
@@allisarose I think for me going in not having read the book and listening to everyone talk about it. I think it made my expectations super high. Lol. Now not to say I don't think the did a good job on the movie. Just that is was kinda predictable. That even before watching certain parts I already knew that was what was gonna happen. I will say I loved the ending and love that they showed how she was able to end the abuse and get away.
But I will def still watch the second movie lol.
