No need for an apology lol, that's the lottery of buying something that is for spares or repair. From now on, I will plug everything onto an external monitor. Chandroid is trademarked lol. I wasn't keen on fightng with the software but I had a hunch the hardware was good so I had to get something running on it. If Emuelec didn't work, I was going to start looking at the different version of Linux to see if they would run on an S905. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Yes, software isn't my favourite thing either. I was looking at soft modding a PS2 but the amount of steps it took and the hoops you had to jump through didn't appeal to me. Give me a hardware fault or some trace repair anyday of the week.
When I turn on my Super Console X, it boots up, but the device shows a red light and the controller doesn't work on the screen. Do I need to connect a mouse and enable the controller in the options?
I haven't used mine since the video but I remember the controllers being a pain to calibrate. So yes, I think you'll need a mouse or perhaps a keyboard to use the menu system.
Hey phill sorry for the later question but i was wondering if you could help me? I havent used my super console x in about a year or so now when i play theres no audio, tried messing around with audio output settings but to no avail
It's been a while since I opened this one but I do recall there's not a lot in them. The only thing I can suggest is to clean the HDMI port, try a different HDMI cable and even hook it up to another TV. You could open it up easily enough and look onthe board for any signs of damage, paying close attention to the pins on the HDMI connector. It could be software, perhaps prepare another SD card. Good luck.

Ps when i put the HDR cabel back in i have soundHi i have a x2 pro super console i think i changed the resolution now when i tyen it on i get no picture but i do get soind if i remove the HDR cabel need help 😢
I bought a SCXPro from a Cash Converter type store, all worked as normal, now when I try to save games the egg timer freezes at 0%, then I have to hard reset to go back to the system. As I can't save any progress, the system is useless to me, as I like RPGs etc... any ideas?😅
@@PhilipBryden it's a pain, I'd been after one for a while, just a shame I can't save anything. I tried to see if I could see the contents of the card on my laptop but it said I need to format it...
Thanks Gary. I don't have much patience but I'm stubborn, so I couldn't let it win ha ha. I haven't taken a good look at those boards yet. I've been in work 7 days last week and this coming week looks like a busy one too. If I can get one of the boards working using parts from all of them, I'll consider that a success. Cheers.

when it don't flash is the img. got to go to emuelect wiki and get the latest version flash the image but check each one till it boot and when it boot take sd card out and pass the roms and it will be done you may need a wired controller to configure it am a pro now fixing those boxes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@PhilipBryden Trust me i did all the don't and nothing happened first put the sd card and load all the roms to your pc second get a new card because the original one need a program to format get an sd card formatter from the internet( the sd card get lock) third download balena etcher fourth go to emuelect wiki get the img.(follow my step above)fith flash your new sd card with the new img.take it out and put it back then when it open it shows EEROMS open it and transfer the rom to where belong btw it takes like 4hrs. to completed when you done put it back and it will work but your way passing the roms i guess is safer but i didn't lost any. all that without opening the console. Good video BTW.
I don't think it will work, you need the dtb file which is specific to the specifications of your board. This is the very first time I have used an emulator like this, so I know how confusing it can be. It took me around 20 different tries until I found the correct one from the device tree folder.

My new X pro goes straight to android ui? It doesnt seem to be reading my sd card. any tips?
All I can suggest is you try a different SD card and install the software from scratch like I did.

I found I could load the roms from my PC to the SuperX through my home network. It was easier and safer than removing the card.

You could try CHKDSK command if you're using Windows. If it's a cheap SDCARD you might be better buying a new one.

@@PeapieIpio try to recover the SD card or you'll lose any ROMS. I'm not too knowledgeable on the software side as you can tell from the video lol.
