You're so good at doing this style of video. I like that you're showing places that aren't typical tourist destinations, but that have their own unique beauty and charm. It's a lot of info, but always presented in a clear and concise manner.
I like that she goes off the beaten path. Last time I spent a few days on Shikoku and it's amazing when you walk around a city or small town and don't see a white face all day, knowing you're just one of a handful of tourists in the area.
That was so much fun!.. I forgot what life used to be like, with all the traveling and new experiences!.. The foods looked absolutely delicious, too! Thank you for sharing it all. And you look so healthy, and happy, and confident! That's wonderful to see :)
I think your videos are great contents for the Japanese English learners since the videos have no subtitles but comfortable speed narrations. Furthermore your comments in the videos are so interesting that they don’t get me bored all the time. So I’ll subscribe your channel more often. Anyway, thank you for introducing interesting Japanese sites.
I really love that you show spots that are not typically mentioned in other Japan traveling vlogs! I’m putting all of this places down for whenever I can finally visit Japan💕
When I went to Himeji castle back in 2014, it was under repair, so I didn’t get to appreciate its full beauty (it was still pretty magnificent, though). I want to go back so badly!! Loved this video Micaela! Thank you so much!
Nice to see your content again, Micaela! Shikoku is getting some attention finally, but there is so much to do and see. Thanks for showing us some fun spots!
Even tho it was intensely cold and during Covid times, your voice on the VO brings out positivity and how much you seemed to enjoy this short trip. Entertaining as always. Thank you.
This was so fun! I haven't seen many videos on this region, but you presented it so beautifully 😍 I think the gardens and grounds of himeji castle were my favorite.. must be so lovely in the fall.
Thank you for introducing Himeji, Awaji-shima, Naruto, Konpira, and Shodo-shima. I'm also viewing that you are doing your best in the TV program of "What is Okehazama?"
Good to see you again! I am quite intrigued by the lotus pond temple. I would love to visit there when the lotus flowers bloom. This upload is a nice virtual and vicarious get-away for me (we are in lockdown), and I enjoyed it very much!
Thank you for the quick tour of so many places! I don't know the area very well (besides Himeji castle, Awajishima, Naruto, Yashima), but would like to visit one day. Oh memories of Awa-odori....
I just moved to Fukuoka (Kurume) last December, and haven't had a chance to explore much yet. Most of my current list is further north, so thanks for finding more places a bit closer :)
Loved this video. The pilgrimage of the 88 temples is definitely on my bucket list. Maybe I’m crazy but it appeals to me. The Naruto whirlpools is another place I’ve wanted to go and you definitely added to the list with other places.
My grandparents are from Takamatsu!! The udon is top tier, even in Japan. I'm glad you were able to try it out and make your own! Much love from Ontario :)
Looks like you had good three-day trip there. I haven't been in this region for quite a long years but do want to visit the castle someday as I've never been there. Most likely I will spend the night in my van to save the accommodation expenses and use the saved money for gorgeous eating instead. ;)
The burger 🍔 looks so yum 🤤 And the waves 🌊 woow 😯 I would love to try a shorter😅 pilgrimage one day . The parfait looks so cute with those colourful thingies on the top ❤️ I cannot stop adding to my travel bucket list😅😍 I can't...so cute, the way she dances 🥰And sooo good to have Japanese olives, I guess many of us don't even know.
Hey micky, Can you introduce Tsukuba city and Mount Tsukuba? Here is pretty fantastic place. Jaxa, KEK, Robot reserch labo and many for Japanese blain for fastest technologic city. There are Hitachi beach side park where blue flower field named Nemofila. I guess you love here. Mt Tsukubas top has magnificent seanaly, You can look over whole of Kanto plain. Don't you drive theseday? Have nice trip. Your video makes me excite every time.😊😊
Wow, home sweet home! :) I don't know how many times I've visited Himeji Castle ... it was literally 15 mins away from my apartment back in the days. And as a huge castle lover... and there are so many stray cats in the park! I went there often to give them some food, although there are enough tourists to feed them as well. ;P ...... I've driven to Awaji Island very often, also to Naruto, but the last time I visited Naruto Ohashi and Tokushima / Kagawa as well as that temple that is the starting point of the Shikoku pilgrimage ..... uhh ... that was in 2009? I even remember taking videos of it, like 1-2 mins vidoes of pilgrims praying and stuff, even uploading it onto RUclips, but it was sooo crappy back in the days. This all feels so far away now. Well, it actually is. Nice to see things are still there and haven't changed much. :) Glad you enjoyed the region. I haven't been to Shodoshima! I attempted SO many times, but never made it although it would have been easy to go there by car / ferry. Maybe one day ...
I hope you can come back soon. Shodoshima is nice! The olives are exquisite! I meant to buy some more of their special olive oil but the omiyage shop was closed when I was ready to leave 😭😭😭
Definitely when it's warmer! If you can go before rainy season you can avoid the killer humidity. Late May? But I feel like summer and early fall would be nice too! Autumn for the gorge, because that's when the leaves change color.
You're so good at doing this style of video. I like that you're showing places that aren't typical tourist destinations, but that have their own unique beauty and charm. It's a lot of info, but always presented in a clear and concise manner.
Thanks! I don't normally make videos this long but there was a lot of detail to put in this one!
I like that she goes off the beaten path. Last time I spent a few days on Shikoku and it's amazing when you walk around a city or small town and don't see a white face all day, knowing you're just one of a handful of tourists in the area.
My exact thoughts!

I wanna go for just the onion and castle. Udon part looks fun.
I just moved to Fukuoka (Kurume) last December, and haven't had a chance to explore much yet. Most of my current list is further north, so thanks for finding more places a bit closer :)
But also plenty to explore on Kyushu.
Always good to see you. ❤️

I have a book on Japanese architecture and there are several pictures of Tadao Ando's buildings. He is heavily into concrete.
Great video!

Wow! Who shoots and edits all your video? Good stuff!
I do lol
精神的にも肉体的にも健康そうで、よりきれいになってる。

Shodoshima is nice! The olives are exquisite! I meant to buy some more of their special olive oil but the omiyage shop was closed when I was ready to leave 😭😭😭
Happy you still alive during the China Virus
I'd wish I could stay!
ラーメンだけじゃあなく?こういうのも良いですねぇ(^_^)v後?カップ麺や?季節限定の商品や定食やって欲しいです(^_^)v
omg I want to do all of these things. what season would you recommend for this itinerary?
Definitely when it's warmer! If you can go before rainy season you can avoid the killer humidity. Late May? But I feel like summer and early fall would be nice too! Autumn for the gorge, because that's when the leaves change color.
Now all I want to do is dance while cooking with that adorable Japanese woman!
It's so much fun! Definitely recommend it!
