It was turn 1, Path would have been a dead draw for most of the game. But there is an argument for keeping it since most of their decks are commander centric.
Anzrag is such a weird card simply because I think it's way too easy to break for casual pods but it's just not good enough for CEDH. I guess a high power ?casual? pod is where it belongs? Feels odd to me.
If you're just playing it as beat face Gruul, it feels fine for mid power. If you're doing the combo stuff for it, which fits into the normal beat face stuff well, then definitely a more high power commander
Removing the Skullspore Nexus there would’ve kept him from dying to commander damage from Chandler that turn at least. He had like 3 ways to remove it that turn and just didn’t think about it lol
Arcane Signet taps the turn you play it to allow more double spell opportunities. Kodama's Reach guarantees the 5th mana for Voja when Wood Elves doesn't. Plus Sam's build is working a little more with +1/+1 counter synergies and isn't trying to fully elf ball. He wanted to try a little more variety to the strategy
Why doesn't Sam kill the creatures instead of aiming at the player's face? That would have been a better play. Is it because it doesn't make good content?
You can’t pump the klauth mana into anzrag since it can only be used on spells
Whoops 😬
good catch
yep. rematch would be fun
ethan's judith deck looks really fun, I'll build it someday
Glad you liked it! It was a fun one to build trying to balance the midrange interaction with the storm elements
@@SmoothBrainEDHdoes it have a hellbent subtheme? It seemed like he was trying to discard his hand a few times
Yeeeaaaa the mole god came and smashed face well played chandler well done my boy well played everyone else dam Judith went off man
Thank you thank you I had no part in this recording but I'll take the credit /s - Jason
surveiling that path to exile was a mistake...

@@atilalexander Path to exile is not a dead draw in the early game
Judith looks so sweet! I can't wait to build her.

Damn that wolf commander is nuts
Voja goes hard
I built him! 100% recommend.
Robbo's deck was a wrecking ball!
Ethan should have overloaded that Vandalblast @7:45. Would have won him the game.

Nice video! I watched for Judith ideas, where did you guys get your dice?
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video. We typically get our dice from out LGSs. No specific one here
God I can't wait to get judith in my ob nixilis storm deck, it looks like so much fun
She's a lot of fun. A healthy amount of variety for a spellslinger color combo that doesn't usually get much spellslinger support
If Ethan plays his turn slightly different, I'm pretty sure he wins that game
Not tryna be a hater genuinely curious why the voja deck would run an arcane signet over any 2 cost mana dork elf
Also if Kodamas reach is a wood elves type effect you get a land into play and an extra body for voja trigger

Well thay was a very cool powerful game.
Ethan could've just played blazing volley through yawgmoth and he would've survived that turn right?
nope, its still unblockable commander damage
@@DDDHunter Blazing volley lifelink/death touch would have wiped the board.
Feel like the Voja deck didn't do nearly the work I've seen it do before. Where were all the 1 drop mana elves?
That's what I'm saying, although mine is being trimmed for a high power deck I present lethal to 3+ players consistently on turn 4/5
@@camdenallen4844 I saw a Voja Voltron deck...it was actually pretty scary.
Where can I get Chandler's playmat? It looks so sick
He got it from his LGS but you can get all kinds of custom playmats from Inked. If only there was an affiliate link in the description 👀
@SmoothBrainEDH Thank you! I'll check it out. If anyone else is interested the art is from the card Deathmark!
I think Voja is pronounced “voy-ah”
I'm saying Vo-Jah

@@dudebro2638 you’re saying it wrong lol
@@andrewpark78 yup. Gonna keep saying that way.

Worst way to play voja
