I absolutely ***LOVE YOUR WORK*** however... I'd ***NEVER DESTROY MY VINYL RECORDS!!*** They are being kept ***SAFE!***
Cmon nick don't you remember having warped records growing up
@@nickzammeti still getting advertisements in on old videos. Nick you’re too talented to lower yourself. Make new projects please
Make a trippy ashtray. Nobody makes ashtrays anymore.
painting each record with epoxy before stacking might woulda helped hold them together.
The fact that you try and even if it fails you make that failure into beautiful art and keep going, that’s what I love about this channel. Keep going Nick!🔥
2am and I was just about to go to bed. But then I get the notification for this video. I guess I can stay up a little longer
Same here.
Also same.
Me as well! Lol the night owl club!
Just got the same too.
Why not go to sleep and watch it the next day?
Just a thought when your using things like this with multiple layers have you thought about pour the resin then add the records 1 at a time so that every surface of the thing is covered may help with them flying apart. Still turned out awesome
I was so nervous as it was going in the pressure pot. I was thinking there has to be an air pocket inbetween some of those records. The part that warped had more resin inbetween the layers.
I thought to stand them up on their edges. Still make a square but less chance of bubbles and better cohesion of the levels.
@@brianeatock4383 That top two definitely had an air pocket, so I think you're right, but I suspect pressure is the wrong thing to use on some resin projects; vacuum would be better, as it would draw out air pockets, after that, using pressure might help.
I do suspect the vinyls might need cleaning in advance though, to strip off whatever they use on the surfaces and perhaps offer a stronger key effect
What about drilling some holes and spacing the records apart?
Might make stronger bond?
Still a great result 👌
@@alasdairmcgrory97 Maybe if you resin friendly plastic dowels through the holes to help bind them together, resin friendly plastic spacers would also help keep the initial separation and possibly improve saturation too, though the center hole of the vinyls could be used for a center shaft and spacers, it wouldn't have the same level of bond as pre-drilling and setting spacers in three holes set in a triangle around the center/// all things to ponder and I'm sure these are things Nick would consider for future vinyl related lathe projects
It is so great to see you. Only you can see a set back as an opportunity. No failures, just inspiration to create beauty.
Really Cool !
😍😍
@@nickzammeti
I think you should have put the resin in first, then put the records in one at a time so that the resin would be better dispersed across the whole surface of the records. Removing the paper sticker labels from each record probably would have helped also.
@@nickzammeti
Adding the resin in 2 separate batches also prevented the resin from getting properly dispersed over the surface of all of the records. If you did everything the same except for putting in all of the resin all at once, it probably would have worked.
@@Well_I_am_just_sayingthat's what I was thinking.
Never a failure, always an opportunity for a change of direction. Great recovery Nick, and once again - you prove you are a craftsman through and through. Thanks for sharing.
I agree, I think it turned out beautifully, I think even better looking than all records would have been.
I like the old videos as much as the new. Just goes to show you can make something beautiful and unique even if it's not your original plan.
I have stomach cancer and your videos help me through the pain and through the long nights when I can’t sleep. Thank you so much! You are a true blessing!
Never a fail..just an experiment and an excuse for an another try a different way in the future.
You can never disappoint. We love you for you and your unique designs and resin lathe work.
Love FUNKY central ❤
Dare I say it? You turned it right round like a record Nicky!
I think it would have looked great if it stayed together, but I think the wood base bowl with the record top is amazing! Even better than it would have been!
Awesome project recovery, the whole time all I could think about was the lyrics, "You spin me right round baby right round, like a record baby right round, round, round...Lmao.
I'm so glad to see a Nick video! You are my favorite RUclipsr 🙂 I think it came out really well!
I know I've seen this one before but it is worth watching again, because I love when you drop your lemons 🍋, you still are able to make that great lemonade 🍋🍋🍋.
Very cool 👍👍👍😎
Glad to see you posting again keep up the awesome work and blowing that horn 📯📯📯😂😂😂
The wavy records reminded me on the inside of a marbel! it turned out beautiful, as will what ever you make with the rest of the records.
I love the way you can turn even a project that didn't come out the way you expected into something beautiful!
Long time subscriber here. I came for the many interesting [woodworking] projects and fails. Stayed around for the waffle. 🥴💐💌
My 1 year old daughter LOVES your videos! She is fascinated by the making and dances to the music. Who knows, maybe you will inspire her to make cool things too 😊
Great use of "Our Tune" when it goes Pete Tong. Nice one Nick
Lemonade out of Lemons. Beautiful result.
A great Nick Zammeti vid with all the side-eye, helium-voiced waffling we love!
We need to get Nick over 1 million. Lets start sharing his channel with our friends!
Nah all he does is make round things
Great way to finish strong even with the challenges you faced. Thank you for sharing!
I love the persistence to finish this project. It came out looking wonderful. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you’re working on now. Don’t let the numbers get to you, the algorithm is messing with everyone right now. We still look forward to your projects.
Even when a project goes ass over teakettle you find a way to make it work, and I really admire that about you Nick.
The combination of wood and the records is not only unique but also beautiful ❤. Brilliant!
That bowl gives me Reggae vibes.
Still here Nick. I truly find your videos entertaining and super funny. Thanks so much for still making them.
It was heartbreaking to see that all fly apart after all your patience and tenacity... However, the Bowl that you produced from the 'Wibbily bits' of records is GORGEOUS! 😘👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🏆
This project definitely broke a record our 2
I learn a lot from you Nick, sometimes more from your failures. Never get discouraged, we support you either way!
It’s still amazing!! I love your videos. I get excited when I see you’ve posted a new one.
Love the way the final piece ended up! And glad you weren’t injured when it fell off.
Dude. It would have looked fine with all records, but the records and wood combo is a 10/10! It looks amazing!
Wow. It turned out beautiful.
Honestly that recovery came out WAY better than if it were just a bowl made out of records. Can't wait to see what you do with the other bit! Excellent work as always!
It turned out beautiful Nick can’t wait to see what else you create out of the rest 😊
You did an awesome job turning that project back around
Hi, Nick. Next time, try drilling holes in your records first. It worked for us when we did it.
I've noticed recently with all of the channels that I've watched recently, they're all chaotic and I love it.
I love your energy. My life's going down hill rn. Just like light the match and walk away bursting in flames at this point. And I always come back to your comedic videos to not have to brain, to enjoy myself, and to watch you create something. I love your content. Keep on keeping on.
Great job saving the project. May not have turned out the way you wanted, but i think the end result is fantastic. True mark of a great craftsman right there.
I love your ability to switch gears when things go wrong. That's a great ability to have.
I also love the color changing hair 😉
That is fantastic nick no matter what happens .
Very cool Nick. Great recovery from a fail. Looks awesome!
Maybe it didn't turn out like you planned but I think this is absolutely GORGEOUS! ❤
I love it. Think I like the combination of the wood and resin better than the all resin.
If you poured the resin first, lightly sanded the records, wiped them with alcohol and drop the records in one by one, pushed them down into each other, it would help with adhesion and stability. I love what you made without giving up. Beautiful!
Even your accidents are enjoyable to watch. Stay safe. Keep on doin what ya do. Thank you!
Great save Nick! You are awesome!
Great recovery, finished results looks great. Glad you were not hurt.
I remember watching this the first time. I felt so bad for you when it flew apart. 😢 Still came up with an interesting project !😃👍❤️
Honestly I for one am very glad that it broke, cuz omg the final result is super cool ❤ and I personally think it looks better then it would have. Love the wood and resin combo!!!
Thanks for sharing again ❤ It's still funkadelick 😍❤
I have a suggestion that may help with the thin objects that seem to break apart so often like this. If you poured the resin first, then sanded the shiny flat part in the middle and put the records into it layer by layer, pushing it down so the resin gets good and in-between everything, then pressured potted, maybe they would stick better? Just a thought. Don't know if the pressure pot does that already or not, but I figured I'd try to help😅
@@willowthewisperer Great suggestion!!
I've been watching for years and I don't think he normally plans ahead.😂🤭🤦🏽♀️ And I'm saying this with love. 💓
I agree it's a great suggestion. There was a ton of air between records. That was a lot for a pressure pot to compress. Records have tiny grooves on their surface. I think the air was compressed, and went into the grooves and basically created an airlock and smooth surface. So there was little adhesion. Using a vacuum first would be better, plus sand with 300-350 before pouring resin.
I love your channel. This project gave you a lemon and you made it into lemonade. Love the bowl. Keep making amazing videos.
Its cool and perfect. Glad you didn't get hurt.
I love this piece it looks really good
Yaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy for Yorkshire Grrrrrrrr-it!
Gonna be the first to state the bleedin’ obvious - you did check the value of your vinyl’s first, didn’t you? 🤔🤣
Nice little project that, kinda challenging you to reinvent. Nice one Nicky. Keep-on rollin’ Geeza 😎
Looks much better than 3 years ago
Hey there! You should coat each disk with resin before stacking them on top of each other! That way, they'll stick together better and less chance that they'll separate 😊 also you could give them a quick buff with sandpaper so the resin grips better on the disk surface! Hope that helps in your future amazing projects 💪 Turned out beautiful anyway 😊 Love you ❤
Absolutely love your work
It may be midnight, but who needs sleep when you can watch Nick Zammeti!
In all honesty, this turned out better than the first idea. Only the good [wobbly] bit, contrasting wit the wood. I love it.
Oh WOW Nick! That is crazy beautiful!!! Love it!!!
I like it. It is awesome. Can not wait to see what you will do with the other piece.
Awesome Video Nick Zammeti🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
I think it turned out even BETTER because of the happy accident. Nice work!
I love it! Greetings from Germany. ❤
I’ve missed you, Nick
The bowl you created is beautiful. 😊
Nick is the man
Great recovery, Nick
That's great Nick
Stunning ❤
Definitely a Record Setting project!
😏🤪😝😆
Sorry it broke on you, Nick. But you still made something totally funkadelic!!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️
Brilliant work Nick. Sad it didn't quite work. But still yr new bowl is Brilliant just Brilliant...
Hey Nick! It wasn't the original plan but it looks awesome! That wood is beautiful, what a perfect addition. Big Hugs from Texas!😜😍
Great save!
Sup Nick! Great to see you on the tubes again!😊
Let's all sit and marvel for a moment at a NZ mold that didn't leak. Trumpet blow definitely earned! Nice one, Nick, sorry it didn;t work out :( Nice save, though!
That was a nice save there! But, maybe, in the future, you might do a little materials testing, to see how well they get along, before you shove them into bed and pull up the covers! The bowl did turn out very pretty.
Nice save! ❤
@3:02 - Oi, seeing your reflection is also pretty cool, since you're a pretty cool guy!
That turned out really pretty.
Hey, hope you have a good day! Just wanted to leave this here. Now I'll watch the vid! :D
Every time I see someone using old, collectable vinyl records in a manner that they're not supposed to be used, something inside me screams "SACRILEGE"!!!!!
Haha same..still got my 45s n 78s..still got all my tapes too 😊
Especially the top 10 hits I just saw.🤣
Me too 😢 it's a bloody shame.....
I just thriftes a working 1950's end tables that's a turntable, with a stereo and speaker in one table and the other one is a speaker and vinal record storage! And it's all original and working!! I'm looking for some vintage 60's-90's records!
Better be scratched to hell 😂
Must’ve needed a good sanding on each individual record front and back for the resin to adhere to! I absolutely love how you made it to a pot. You should make a couple more but use the records for the lids. That would be so much fun with a finial on top of them! Love your creativity and can’t wait to see what you come up with next!!!
Using the section as the rim of a wooden bowl looks so much better than a full bowl of records! The unique way the records melted in that section really stands out. Melt more small stacks of records and build more bowls! Gorgeous!
I'm still around watching your videos.
I'm always in awe at how you turn your so-called "fails" into beautiful things too. Loving it as always. Cheers Nick
nice aquarium you got there Nick!!!!!!😆😅
Great design modification!! Always enjoy watching your work. Keep up the great content!
TURNED out nicely 😉
I can't wait to see what you do with the other part!
I'm glad it broke because WOW did that wood make the whole project turn out awesome! How beautiful!
Good save, Nick!!
Lol. 1:03 Royston Vasey mode. 😄
I like the way it turned out, and I can't wait to see what you do with the other piece.
