This Pitch Meeting builds masterfully. I was crying by the end. Honest Trailer was also good. They both did great with the Army Raptors. I was not a fan of this movie. Like you said, it was what it was, but I was frustrated that they barely used Chris Pratt's charm and humor. Why cast him if he's just going to be a robot?

Evacuating the park to late might seem crazy and out of reality but sadly it's exactly what happened with the Costa Concordia ship incident here in Italy 🇮🇹 back in 2012 😔.

When you think if the kids hadn't snuck away from Zara she wouldn't have been there in the first place so basically the kids inadvertently got her killed. As for the product placement who goes into a film even looking at the background I know I don't.

I love the Jurassic series. You have to go in knowing it’s not going to make perfect sense. My kids loved this movie so it was money well spent for me. A part of me still wishes we could someday have a park like this. Maybe if they start looking in the right places, it could happen. Then all of my exes could get jobs there...
I think it’s a first for me, but HT was funnier in my opinion. I still feel nostalgic with the first Jurassic Park. Cannot beat that one (for me). Please react to the second Jurassic World pitch meeting. Much funnier :)

They did bring back the scientist, Dr. Wu. I did not remember the names of ANY other character either, by the way... except for Lowry (?) and Vivian, the two side characters played by Jake Johnson and Lauren Lapkus, who had the best storyline in the movie! I did not feel any sympathy for "Money business lady" and although I think Vincent D'Onofrio's talents were wasted in this movie, I think the "military" aspect of this was kind of dumb and a waste of time. Now of the videos, I think I still have to give it to PM, especially because of the way the story evolved even during the meeting... and for writer guy getting "revenge" on his ex! Funny! Both videos and the movie were entertaining though.
To be fair hooking up with a hot red head does not require liking them. In fact disliking them sort of makes it even better sense they don't have souls. You can do whatever you want to them cause they are not real people like us.
When even Producer Guy - who is usually enthusiastic about everything that could make him money, and borderline sociopathic about anything else - finds the behaviour of Scriptwriter Guy's corporate lady ludicrous, you know audiences will hate that character. Seriously, not evacuating the park is on the level of the Soviet government taking ages to admit the Chernobyl reactor catastrophy in Soviet Ukraine had even happened and even longer to warn and evacuate the people living in the area of the fallout. It's even stupid on a purely corporate-think level, because it means the park's owners and she herself as the person responsible will get sued in court for injuries and deaths.
It’s funny that you compare this to The Force Awakens, Colin Trevorrow was scheduled to direct the third film in Star Wars trilogy but internal politics led him getting released from the project.
I was excited to see what he would bring to the Star Wars universe. After seeing the concept art for the Star Wars film he was going to make it makes me even angrier with the The Rise of Skywalker we got.

I agree. This was a fun movie, but nothing spectacular. Just good enough to pass the time, but it was forgettable as soon as it was over. Personally, I would have loved the fight between the T-Rex and the multi-gene super dino to be longer, and in broad daylight. But, overall, it was weak in terms of the plot. That idea for using the Velociraptors in the army, though.........that was a bit much!
I like both almost equally this time, it's an easy movie to make fun of, lots to work with. Pitch edged ahead though. The characters were more like toy figures being moved around by a child playing with a play set. Frankendino could be upgraded, fix the eyes (eagle genes), increase the size (blue whale genes) and set it loose on a continent. A franchise is born. It could be South America first, jungle cover galore, and in the second movie it's moving toward the U.S. They think it was killed in a big battle at the Panama canal. But no, it survived and the tree frog genes caused a spontaneous sex change due to certain pheromones it senses while on the run in the Pacific ocean. Third movie, enter Godzilla who finally met a mate to get busy with , give him something to do other than stomping cities.Or maybe not have a mate is the reason he's always stomping them.The big guy is frustrated. In due time the happy couple produce an even more frightening beast then either of them, this one will have the traits of both, including a proper sized head. Now we have Frankenzilla, and another franchise is born. Edited to add: I forgot the forgot the third franchise. Frankenzilla gets cozy with Rodan and their offspring can fly.
More like force awakens is the jurassic world of sw since JW came first, but at least JW had a different plot, the park was running for years at that point and they invented a new dinossaur Force awakens was literally a new hope with a bigger death star
Watched this in the theater , it was awesome !!! The theater had some extra bass so the food stomping of the dinosaurs felt like real life , hope the new one does well the second movie was disappointing..
The thing I didn't lihke was making the raptors tamed. I didn't like that. And the fight at the end was ridiculous. And after the fight the T-Rex and Blue look at each other and do nothing. That was not what either would of done in real life.
I went to see this at the theater and left all suspensions of disbelief and logic at home. In other words, I loved this movie!

This is a very early pitch meeting, but it actually holds up really well! It’s nice to see Ryan taking a different approach to the comedy in these.
