    Gorgeous! I’m going to make one for my daughter. She moved out of state (1000 miles away) 4 months ago. This will give her something to think of me every time she gets home, or walks out the door. 🥰

    A tip for all polymer clayers for handling hot clay I use cotton safety gloves, also called cotton string gloves, very cheap, very thin not bulky, someone who worked at a brewery turned me on to them years ago...works like a charm!

    The 'lumpy' little black snakes are SOOO effective next to the stripes. 👏

    I’m very inspired by this and all of your designs. Such beautiful art. I’m definitely going to try this! After weeks of practicing skinner blends, might just be a good time. Thanks for this great lesson.

    This is a lovely slab and end result. You make these things look so easy. One of these days I'm going to give it a go. Look forward to all of your videos. Happy Thursday to you!

    I have an inexpensive machine too and the handle used to come out often (so annoying). If you have some latex gloves or finger cots you can remedy the problem by placing the tip of the glove over the handle and pushing it back into the machine. Give it a good wiggle and you’re all set Mine has never come out since doing this. Occasionally I will push it in again to snug it up a bit, but yeah, it irks great! BTW, I love your videos! ❤❤❤

    This is just awesome!! I think I'm going to have to have a try. I've been trying to think of something special to make for my son's house warming. Also something for my long suffering clay teacher. Best thing I've seen in ages! Will you glaze it do you think?
    😊

    Btw, your machine sounds just like mine! In fact I have 2, bought cheap had em for years, use one for light clay, one for dark, the one for light colors I also use for blends

    Love it! What a great video. Did you end up putting some kind of varnish on it? Oh, and did you cover the clay with a foil tent or something while you were baking it? I'm a newbie.

    • @TheLittleCraftHouse
      @TheLittleCraftHouse  8 месяцев назад

      Nope and Nope! I don't generally varnish my polymer unless I need to seal something like paint or foil. I like the look of it just how it is (and I'm kinda lazy!). If i do want super shiny Ill use resin.
      I also don't tent my pieces. I know some people recommend it - I think it helps with consistent temps - but I've never had an issue not doing it. Hope that info helps! :)

    can you bake the clay in the dish for the whole curing?

    • @TheLittleCraftHouse
      @TheLittleCraftHouse  4 месяца назад

      Yes - you probably could. I just worry about not being able to get it out! I guess if you removed it whilst its still warm - it should be flexible enough.

      @@TheLittleCraftHouse thank you for responding. I did try it anyway and found that the dish popped out really easily - I had it in a kitchen dish too.

    What brand is your flexi blade…difficult to get in the U.K. can you share? Thanks..

    • @TheLittleCraftHouse
      @TheLittleCraftHouse  Месяц назад

      Hi! The one I use is an old Sculpey branded one. They still make them - but the design is a little different now. They come as a 3 pack with flexi/riggid/wave blades.

    I 100% agree about not wanting to fiddle around too much. That way I can pass on the savings to my customers
