Beautiful colours, and, I would not have imagined it to be made up of leftover clay. I love the tip of "bashing" to warm up the clay, particularly with Kato. Another great project, and I think it would also adapt well to light switch covers.🙂
If you make coasters and finish it with poly clay and heat gun will the sweating of a cup of coffee or cold drink stick To the coaster question? I've had that problem with other coaster I have bought at craft fairs. I would pick up the drink And the coaster was stuck to it. Not sure what finish was on it.
Why don't you just carefully cut each spiral through the center so that you'll have two spirals, with a black back and a colored front, THEN place the halves in the bowl and bake it. Seems like an awful lot of work doing it your way.
Why don’t you use bake and mold for this type? I thought that was the only way to stick pieces together. I just started & have been using satin glaze as a seal & finish.

Beautiful. Thank you for your instruction and inspiration.
I love the sound that polymer clay makes when it hits the surface! I'm weird like that! Pretty bowl and the cane was beautiful!
You are an excellent teacher! Love this ❤️
I've been wanting to do a similar project but didn't know how to start. Thank you for sharing this!
There's a storm here as I'm watching this as well.

So pretty
Beautiful work! Did you have to buff and polish that top coat?
No. The liquid clay will be shiny without the help of buffing.
I tried making a bowl and my polymer clay got stuck to the bowl. Is there any way of getting it unstuck?
Adorable
What about a hairdryer on the hot setting would that work instead of a heat gun?
Good
Nice !How long do you heat it with the heat gun?
It can take from 2 to 6 minutes. Basically keep circling over the piece until the liquid clay is clear.

Wow!😍
I made one just have to sand it
Can food be put in these?
I absolutely love them.
