Great video I'm going to get a pit bike but still researching which one to get. I'm over 200 lbs so not sure what size motor I should get 140cc or 190cc
I had this bike but the 190 , when they tell you the load limit u really should listen unless you're burning money to 😆 snapped mine in half I'm to big for em for sure good fun while it lasted
2 of us managed to do that damage btw they are surprisingly strong for something so small lol , 6"6 266 lbs identical twins we somehow held on just wish we had filmed it hahaha
Dang that sucks I’m at almost 60hrs on frame now and haven’t snapped it yet. But I do only ride the kids track with my son now on it so everything mellow on it
Could this fit a person that’s 6’ 6’1 ? I’m a beginner and this bike is in my price range… my options were the SSR 125 but realized that may be too small and the apollo 125cc… would this bike be better?
Hi did u have to adjust the Carbie when u got it new? I just got one & it’s splattering & cutting out blows a big of black smoke, I don’t know what to do?
I didnt have to adjust the stock carb but when I replaced this motor with the piranha 140 I upgraded to a vm26 and had to do some adjusting on that carb. I'm in the houston area average temp is 90-100° f in the summer humidity no lower than 70% to give you an idea
Jayclem84 that’s the exact same carburettor I had on mine came with the bike VM22 26mm copy Mikuni gave me nothing but problems after problem I ended up changing it for a 27mm racing carb runs much better now I’m in Sydney Australia it’s kool weather here 22-26 degrees days.
Jayclem84 yeah, their smaller ones are made in China but assembled in the us, which is how most companies work including, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha, thumpers have really well rated motors as well with a killer price tag, I adore their bikes, keep on riding man🤙🏻
How is it holding up? I just sold my SSR SR125 and am looking at replacing it with the TSX-C 125... I loved the small size of the SR125 (made it feel quick), but the non-TR model I had had the footpegs bolted onto the bottom of the motor, and the forks would bottom out super easily. It looks like this TSX-C 140 takes jumps pretty well - you don't seem to be bottoming out the suspension at all on the jumps and the bike looks super planted - how's the suspension feel to you? I'm pretty sure the 140 has the same suspension as the 125 I'm looking at... Is the quality of the Thumpstar similar, or better than your experience with SSR? I like the looks of the TSX-C more than the SR125TR, and I think I'm sticking with the 125's to get the smaller 12/14" wheels and to keep the price down... would love to know your thoughts man! Great video!
Thanks for watching!. I will post an update vid hopefully soon been busy with work and filming other projects. I have been having issues with it I currently have 8hrs on bike and almost 2hrs on new motor. My 3rd gear unfortunately went out with 5 1/2 on it (I want to say it was faulty because I've been told these yx 140 engines are pretty solid for the most part) I've since replaced it with a piranha 140 motor and that thing rips.. suspension wise I liked it my rear shock blew out on the first ride on my new motor lol I replaced it with a dnm rear shock which is way better imo. I've been having a little bit of bad luck but overall I still love the bike. And 12/14 wheels will bolt right on there you may be able to order with the 12/14
@@JCem8409 oh man! I'm sorry to hear that! I too had heard that the YX140 was supposed to be really solid so maybe yours was just a fluke.... With my luck that'll happen to me too, because my YX125 in the SR125 I just sold was solid - my next one will break I'm sure. Good to hear that the new DNM shock makes the suspension even better - how are the front forks? I weigh about 180 lbs so I'm thinking the VS1 suspension should be pretty solid for me, assuming the rear shock holds up on mine
Wakeboarder210 sorry for late reply my piranha motor is solid I try to run it to its paces and it never skipped a beat I have 15hrs on the new motor now. The front forks are actually good it only bottoms out when it needs too which isn’t often I did add some fork oil to it though to help achieve that
percussion 44 yes it was under warranty being that thumpstar is in Australia and I’m in the states it took forever to get the ball rolling so tbolt helped me get situated in a much faster time frame
It's pretty fast but takes a little bit with me on it (220#) but I was told the 146 high compression piston and a vm26 carb wakes it up alot. And I'll also play around with the gearing
Youd love to rip your massive bike on that kids tiny practic track haha all the big boys be on the big tracks all around you why you go on yhe kids track with your 450 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah boots because I broke my ankle before on a bmx pump track and I drive big rigs for a living so I rather look goofy and have my ankles safe as possible
Love how thumpstar includes a "spare parts" box with all of their bikes.... that's a nice touch other companies should start doing
Exactly
i have the same bike. had it for over a year and a half and havent had to do any serious maintenance. Such underrated pitbikes
Thank u I wish people did more I am looking at the thump star v5 212cc but theees not much on them on video wize
Great video dude enjoyed this especially the drone shots 💯gave me idea to possibly use drone myself 👍
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for posting this bro. You are the true hero. Very nicely done 👌
Yeah sick bro nice video. I've got a Pit Pro 140. Such a good bike. Love these little pit bikes
Looks like an absolute hoot. Thinking about picking up a mini moto for goofing around on 😅
Great video!!! Drone shots! Jump shots!!!
Thanks! This bike looks fun.
Ay man if you still ride I’d look into pitster pro. I ride a 2018 190 and it seems too be great. Fast as hell too
Great video

Thanks! and yeah I was there only because I didn't feel like driving far
Hows the bike holding up? Id like to hear your thoughts
J John it has its ups and downs I’m on my 3rd rear shock lol. I’ll be posting an update video in a couple days with all the details
@@JCem8409 If you could make the purchase again would you go with the Thumpstar or the Piranha 140RE?
J John I would buy either one it keeps up with some modded klx’s
Might have to grab one for memorial weekend 😂🤷🏼♂️
If you buy new good luck finding one
@@JCem8409 haha yea was looking at fbmp used. Two decent used ones in my area!🤙
What was falling apart on the 189
Does it feel powerful when riding ?

I got a small wheel 125cc and I’m 6.1ft so the big wheel should be sweet as
Any left over parts from the 189? I'm picking up my 2019 ssr189 Saturday when it arrives at the dealer.
Unfortunately I dont.. where did you order yours from?

Thanks! Active track works wonders
Where did you order this bike from dude ?
Tbolt usa
that looks like the most high quality chinese dirt bike on the line
It's because it's not Chinese.. Australian owned and made in Taiwan
MrSpellicup that would make sense
Thumpstar is a great brand nice Aussie bikes their bigger ones are made in Spain if you decide to get a 2 smoker
I knew they were Aussie based I didn’t know the big bikes were made in Spain either that’s good to know!
