Flute bag with reeds? 🤘🏽 so it’s not a bag of kittens and ducklings being squished to create screams! I feel better now.

The Hümmelchen is not a "beginners" instrument in general. You would need to spend a few months on ANY bagpipes learning the pressure/air technique. The fingering on the Hümmelchen is "common" and therefore called "easy". On the other hand, due to the tiny holes, controlling the sound and tuning the instrument is far more complicated as for any pipes with a conical chanter and bigger sound holes. So except for the really loud ones like GHB, Marktsack or Gaita as example, which need tons of pressure, the other kind of pipes (there are a lot) share more or less all the same learning curve.
In addition, buying such an instrument form a "shop" like Thomann is a fail. Lucky, the Hümmelchen offered from Thomann are made by a german well known and good bagpipes builder but they come a bit on the tiny side as for a big man like you are. So contacting a bagpipes maker who builds/fits the instrument to your body would be a good choice.
Other than that, very good audio engineering. :D
