Sure is. Each bean has different density, roast etc. So you may have to adjust for each to get the right shot. Have a look at these tips ruclips.net/video/Fal0YwoFNRg/видео.html
you have your x2 buttom selected for double basket, so does that mean on the first set up you need to use a single basket to set up the grind volume than press x2 when changing to double basket?
Nope! You can set up the machine using the double basket and keeping x2 clicked, but if you were to ever wanted to use the single basket you would un click x2 and make any dose adjustments you need to :)
Just curious, do the steam wand and single wall filter basket retro-fit to the La Specialista? I would love to at least be able to switch out the steam wand for the wand on the Prestigio.
@@ecscoffeeinc thank you for the quick reply. That is disappointing considering g the machines are virtually udentical. Huge expense since my LA Specialista is just over a year old. Ugh. Oh well. Thank you again.
This can happen for a few reasons but it sounds like your wand is to high on the milk! Check out this video for milk steaming tips: ruclips.net/video/o6x5ZvrkQxU/видео.html
Hey just wondering, would you get better another microfoam with a single hole steam wand. I am a barista and can't seem to get the hang of the wand with this machine.
Hi! With this machine to make an iced coffee you would just pour the espresso over ice and add cold water. When using the portafilter that has 2 spouts you can set up two cups underneath, it may just not be large enough of a serving!
i love the machine. made a spro that tasted like i put 3 sugars and honey in it. bought my beans from ecs too. reliable. just wondering if anyone knows if a bottomless portafilter is available somewhere?
Having real difficulty getting that milk rolling with that wand... not sure if it's the lack of mobility on the steam wand or the inconsistent, pulsating strength of it.
Hi Wayne! To make a mocha on this machine just ass chocolate sauce to the bottom of your mug, pour the espresso shot into the mug and stir the chocolate sauce and espresso together, then pour your steamed milk on top :) Happy brewing!
@@ecscoffeeinc i thanks for the reply. I normally use dark chocolate power, oat milk & mocha coffee to make one, I can have diary. So would you recommend that machine?

Hi I just purchase this coffee machine ,and it's great . Coffee taste is majestic 😋 . But I have small issue, this pressure needle is not moving when making coffee . It's just on 0 and that's it . Am I doing something wrong ,did I set up my machine correctly, what am I missing?? Please ,someone who has more experience than me to help . Thanks.... BTW ,great video
I own this machine and recently bought a pressurized filter so I can grind my decaf beans in another grinder without having to swich the beans in the machine grinder every time. So my question is: If the preground coffee dose and tamp aren't perfect, the pressure gauge won't be in the optimal zone BUT will the pressurized filter make up for it so I don't have to worry about getting the gauge in the optimal zone when using it? 🤔
@@ecscoffeeinc I've tried it and yes it works well even with the gauge under the optimal zone 😊 I had to try twice though: The 1st time, I did the same procedure I usually do with the non-pressurized filter and it didn't come out super nicely with the pressurized filter. The 2nd time, I used a separate coffee grinder and did the same thing I used to do with my previous machine, which only had a non-pressurized filter (adding an approximate quantity of coffee that seemed fine and hand tamping). It turned out great. 👍
You don't tell us what the pressure actually is, it just reads 'Optimal Zone'... or what the temperature of the three settings ends up being. And you don't drink the coffee it makes to see if it's actually any good... that seems pretty weird honestly. Not sure what you're really reviewing here...
Hello Alex. By my experience; temperatures is between 92 and 96 degrees; with correct level (spent some time to adjust )coffee after press, in Optimal Zone it is really nice cream on top, no mess; all tastes is very subjective of course ; in home, I do drawings on Latte, its miracle. Love this machine.. Have a nice day.
@@AnnaMaria-q5h If the needle is not moving and based on what you mentioned above it sounds like the espresso is very under extracted or there could be a pump/pressure issue. If you make the grind size finer and increase the dose but it does not improve the espresso, then we would recommend reaching out to DeLonghi for some help :)

Hi Margaret! Try making your grind size even finer, add more ground coffee, it is ok to be on grind size 1! Every bean and bag of coffee is unique :)
Thanks for the video. I agree. The steam wand is not flexible and I cannot get milk to spin.
Wish this had the option for automatic dose like with the Breville (Sage) Barista Express Impress.

You are not a barista

1) Does this machine make iced coffee? If so, how?
2) Can you make 2 cups of coffee at the same time just like the 2 espresso shots?

You can always use pre ground espresso and tamp it without using the grinder.
Having real difficulty getting that milk rolling with that wand... not sure if it's the lack of mobility on the steam wand or the inconsistent, pulsating strength of it.
Likely mobility
Its best if you settle down to get the milk to roll.
I just bought this and the pressure guage does not move much. Why?
Grind setting could be too coarse or too fine.
