It's tested me on every level that a man or woman can be tested. Mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally I've been ran through the gauntlet. There have been times when I question myself, my will, my determination but at the end of the run I'm still here. Every call we lose guys who just couldn't hang. Good dudes, tough guys who I know wanted it but didn't have it. I'm not a people person and so at the end of our shifts I'm back at camp listening to Calhoun and all of his collaborations. When I'm working out I'm listening to Calhoun. When I want to snap and lose my shit, it's Calhoun, Jennings, and BrodNax because I feel that shit. They motivate me to keep pushing, to keep hiking, to keep swinging. If you ever read this I want to thank you for the music you make, the heart you put into it. The same for Jennings and BrodNax.
