    That’s what I’ve always loved about the greenskins. Being able to look an apocalyptic army in the face and just scream “WAAAGGHHHHH” and just wanna go smash it in the face because it’s a good scrap.they are a very simple and blunt but effective weapon

    If he sent in one of his "most trusted generals", you'd assume he didn't understand the task. I don't imagine trustworthy people are easy to come by in a Chaos army

    Archaon knows the orcs are a threat after Grimgor Ironhide smacked him in the face and walked of, it hurt so much they had to retcon it for the end times 🤣

      During The Lord of the Endtime, chapter 20 (last novel of the end times), Grimgor gives a really tough fight to Archaon. First, he knock him off from Dorghar (easily, no small feat !). Then they trade blows. Grimgor almost breach Morkar armor. They lock their weapon very close and then Grimgor delivers such a brutal headbutt into Morkar helm that the Eye of Sheeran explodes in tiny fragment and Archaon howls in rage. Then he quickly proceed to kill Grimgor by unchained U'zhul (the demon emprisonned into the King Slayer). Such perished the Once and Future Git, Boss of the East, Avatar of the Great Maw, Incarnate of Beast and Waaagh made flesh. Only Sigmar fared better against Archaon (Sigmar crushes the King Slayer in his grip :O). We can't be sure but it's safe to assume that Grimgor would probably have killed the Everchosen without the Kingslayer help. Much better fight than in Storm of Chaos and great fate for a black orc ^^. And Grimgor only says one thing ' Shut up and die !'

    There is an incoherency between age of sigmar 2nd edition and third edition concerning Ironjaws : during 2nd edition, most sources said that 'ardboyz and brutes came to be in Ghur as an 'adverse side effect' during the Age of Chaos (it's not presented as a suppposition but as a fact, if memory serves). Orruks constantly battled chaos forces (especialy khorne warriors !) at great cost. They gradually 'evolved' until only the toughest and the dealiest orruk strain emerged. They were such a threat that Chaos forces never managed to 'tame' vast expanses of Ghur like they did in Aqshy, for example (major chaos presence and lots of stronghold). In Age of sigmar 3rd edition rulebook, we are now told that Ironjaws were always there. It's a bit of a shame because the 'constrained evolution' conveyed really a great orcish (orrukish ?) touch to the story.

      That's fair I suppose, but here's how I see it: If there are any canon issues between publications, I just assume its just one of many in-universe "theories". Both can coexist because observation can yield wildly different results region to region. I know its an easy copout, but to be blunt, I'm not expecting the minutia of world building to be rigid

    • @Toirneachgames
      @Toirneachgames 2 года назад +1

      @@2Tough I have the same philosophy. Age of Sigmar is a high fantasy mythological universe, so it's okay to accept inconsistencies, the fact that different people can give radically (or just slightly) different versions of events, that the narrator is not entirely reliable...just like most great mythological stories in the real world. The canon is a bit fluid. So maybe the birth of the Ironjaws is a version peddled by them (they sure are braggart, after all ^^), maybe it's a clever theory forged by human or lumineth scholars, maybe it stems from observations by a chaos lord, maybe none of these at once or a little bit of everything mixed together. It's just a bit of a shame that the theory isn't mentioned because it gave a certain cachet to the faction.

    another really good chaos vs orks story comes from the same page as the greenskin wars in the 2nd ed ork warclan battle tome. its called smashing victory and starts on page 24, and is the last of the age of chaos snippits. I feel it would be a great video topic.

    Feel like other chaos force have better plan in Ghur then Archaon, like Bela'kor with his full equipment military force ,or small chaos tribe learn to become one with the realm.
    while Archaon force become a punching bag just like city of sigmar but with less fund.
