Constructing a Container House - Building in Tierras Altas Volcan Panama Chiriqui

We are really excited that some of our friends are building a container house in the neighborhood. They’ve been working recently on the foundation, and it was finally time to bring the containers in. They have 3 20 and 2 40 foot containers. The other day, they had a crane and a flatbed truck move the containers into place. I was able to catch it as the 4th container was set in place as part of their second floor.
Building with containers works out pretty well here in Volcan because no air conditioning or heating is necessary. The containers aren’t too hot or too cold and could make for quick construction.
The crane moved into place and the workers climbed on top of the container to get it hooked up with the chains. It was quickly lifted into the air and swung into place. We are excited to see how this project progresses!

thanks again for sharing this with us. we have been to curaçao and the homes and businesses are painted vibrantly bright colors. I would do a yellow based theme. Maybe with orange. I hope we get to see more of this project. Any idea of the price tag of this project?
