It depends on the area you're in - if you're by a creek or in a lower area, you'll have more. We don't have a lot in our immediate area and I don't notice many in town, but if we go somewhere like Barriles or to fincas where the land is more marshy, you'll have more mosquitos.

No, it is not certified organic. They try to use less pesticides and more "mild" or "organic" pesticides, but they still have to use them.

@@corazondelcielo Thanks for your reply! I completely understand the difficulty of not using pesticides. I'm still here in Nova Scotia, Canada and have been running a micro organic regenerative farm for the last 8 years. It's SO hard even though it's a very small farm. Hopefully one day soon, I will build a tiny little farm near Volcan. Thank you so much for all your videos!

Right above Volcan in Cerro Punta, but still part of Tierras Altas.

It is a tropical area, so you will find bugs. The houses are not sealed like in the US where there is air conditioning, so yes, there are bugs.

You must first get residency and then your cedula. Then you can apply for your license.

It is run by individual volunteers. There isn't a burning season that I know of.

There may be some places in the US that have shared similar ideas for communities, although I don't know how far they have gone to physically develop intentional communities: Kevin Swanson at Reformation Church of Elizabeth in Elizabeth CO, Covenant Bible Church in Georgetown TX, Calico Buffalo Base Camp in Mancos CO, Christ Church in Moscow ID. They each have a different approach, and we are not directly connected to any to them, but one of these locations might be a good fit for your family.

There are a some snakes in the area, over the years we have scene a few colorful coral type snakes that could be dangerous, but difficult to know for sure because some are and some aren’t but look the same. We have much fewer snakes than other parts of Panama because of the higher elevation and cooler temperature.

You can open a retail business, you would need to follow employment regulations for employees.

@@corazondelcielo All the sources i’ve read and watched mention that retail is reserved for panamanians. My wife is from panama and we live in the US but i want to invest and open a business in panama. Any ideas of what could be necessary these days in panama?
