Hi, From Canada. Just like the bone skeleton is very important for the function of the body, The hwy infrastructure is very important for the development and economics of the country. If India will build these network of HWY's, it economical strength, and the nation's GDP can be amazing. I have traveled to probably around 15 countries, their infrastructure is what makes them compete at the world level, not just for status, but economically. Better and safer HWY's means faster the goods can be transported. India needs economic power, not military super power. Once you have the economic power, other super powers are easy to accomplish. It all looks great in the video, or when it is animated, the question is, where are the Finances coming from? Sure I can relate to Several new HWY's at a time, but all those promises sound too much like icing on a cake. (Sound like an election promise). If there was no corruption in India, it can surpass the GDP of the US. Just like how India and China were the only two dominated countries in the world in the 1700's By the 1800, UK dominated the world economy. By the 1900 US dominated the world economy. Now the Race is on, for who will control the A.I. (artificial intelligence) in this century. Whomever develops the AI first, will dominate the world economy for the next 100 years. Wonderful infrastructure in India, it will be a great work initiated by present government for the development of nation. Road routes are very important for easy movement from one place to another place. By these new road projects all most all places in India covered including North-eastern region. Tourism will develop in North Eastern part of the nation, since up to now it is in slow process. In future the Govt will also concentrate on international road connectivity from Assam , Bangladesh, Miyanmar ,Thailand ,Malaysia, Singapore. This is one of the most important and ambitious project for the country. If Shri Nitin Gadkari, PM Narendra Modi Ji, NHAI and all participating organizations keep date with this project and complete this on time before they exit their terms, then they would have done the greatest job for the Nation for decades and centuries to come as this is the maximum any one can do for road projects and going forward it will only be maintenance and upgradation of road quality for all these stretches and networks mentioned.
The new super roads should not have been going from city to city. Instead they should have been based on the minimum travel time from starting place to ending place. Any cities on the way could be reached by making feeder roads from main super road. So, in some ways, this plan is not all that great because all it focuses on the additional lanes.

This is one of the most important and ambitious project for the country. If Shri Nitin Gadkari, PM Narendra Modi Ji, NHAI and all participating organizations keep date with this project and complete this on time before they exit their terms, then they would have done the greatest job for the Nation for decades and centuries to come as this is the maximum any one can do for road projects and going forward it will only be maintenance and upgradation of road quality for all these stretches and networks mentioned.

The new super roads should not have been going from city to city. Instead they should have been based on the minimum travel time from starting place to ending place. Any cities on the way could be reached by making feeder roads from main super road.
So, in some ways, this plan is not all that great because all it focuses on the additional lanes.
