@Jariel that's not always the case. Many people have something called terminal length. Or have very thin hair. Which can get pricey if you're wanting to remedy that with extensions or hair growth treatments.

Well thats a myth. Long hair doesn't take more time. It takes less time to brush and put in a pony tail, do a bun or anything then style short hair which you can not cheat with when your short in time. Been there done that. the only thing is... you need to know how to. I have had short with my first kid, in the middle with my second and now down to my butt hair with my third. And the long hair is less time consuming tbh. You can choose to style it. Or when there is no time, put it up in a ponytail or bunn. And its not as hot as short hair cause you can do it up and it will be out of your face, neck which is how I have it most days. And I actually HAVE hair to fill a nice messy bunn ;)
Cultural differences never cease to amaze me in my culture it is a blessing and considered outwardly beautiful to have long healthy hair and 4 white culture it's considered raggedy and not fashionable to have long hair but their hair grows 10 times faster than ours so I guess that's why they take theirs for granted and we do everything we can to achieve it

Even in my small, Indiana town there must be at least a dozen places that do hair. No reason for anybody not to look their best. OK, well, if you don't care, or don't have the money... still.
She's a Mom with 5 kids, they probably flew her to NYC for at least a night, she gets pampered with a makeover, room service or out to dinner, I'd definitely do it...why not?! All too often Moms do not take time for themselves, they need to do so in order to be at their best both physically and mentally. Even if it's only a couple hours a week, carve time out for yourself, you'll feel better and so will your family.
This is a no-brainer. First, it's free; you'd compalin about free?? Second in theory these people on the show are better at determining what style/cut would look good/best on a person. How many times have you gone to a salon and come out with a cut or style which wasn't want you wanted? Of course, there's no guarantee that what they do on the show is going to be something you like either, but again, it's free. What's the problem??
Her hair definitely needed to have the length cut off that they did, it looked like it was very uneven and dry looking. Her hair color is much like mine and I love it. I strongly believe that older women can have long hair as long as they take good care of it. I am 51 and my hair is to the middle of my back, and it will be a long, long time before I will consider cutting it short, but I told my husband that if I ever do opt for cutting my hair off I will be paying a visit to Christopher Hopkins 😆

How about giving makeovers to disabled people who could never afford or perhaps even get to a fancy BIG CITY stylist??? Many of us become very isolated and have very few people in our lives through no fault of our own. We could use that little bit of pampering and lift in self-esteem with a great change in hairstyle/makeup. Would love to see a week of disabled folks( cerebral palsy, Downs Syndrome, Chronic Pain sufferers, Paraplegics) getting makeovers!

My sister and her two daughters have long hair. My sister , her daughters and I short - medium . My mother would've killed me if she was still around for cuting my hair. But my one sister kept her love for long hair 'alive' . long hair is not hated but by doing things to hair it can express who someone is and I like that. I thought her hair was beautiful before and after. Hopefully they donate some of her hair.

We don't but in some regions here it gets insanely hot and it can become to much to bear. In other locations it can really get in the way with activities. Long hair is stunning and I used to have my hair about 4 ft long but it became too much
