Landing A Wild Koi The Hard Way! Landing the Biggest Carp Of Week 1

- I am again participating in @SunfishKing Winter Multi-Species Madness Tournament. I was very busy the first week so I only got to go out once and target the wild koi near my apartment. I was lucky to hook into a big carp. I was unlucky to have my net break. So I had to get into the water to land the koi. To add injury to insult I got slapped in the face by the tail.
I managed to catch the biggest carp of week one and scored 3 points. This leaves me in 2nd place but we still have seven more weeks to go. The legaug will be a little harder for me this time and It looks like I will be the only one fishing in Japan again.
The koi measured out to 28.75 inches or 73 centimeters.

Didnt mean to make it hard for those who arent in the US! North American anglers definitely have the advantage. Sorry about the eligible species not aligning with what you have available. Even within the US, its tough. I dont have pike, musky, spotted bass, smallmouth, pumpkinseed, redbreast, etc where i am and all are eligible for week 1! Its tough making rules that are fair for everyone and also keeping it unique and new! Im doing my best! Great fish!!!
