Wow, what a treat! However, I'm a bit concerned at the roughness of the handling we see. This book is a treasure beyond the fact that it's 250 years old. This is part of the history of the English language particularly it's expression in a formal business aspect. Despite my concern, thank you for sharing! It would be great to see this again with proper lighting and taking a bit more time.

First I was not handling it that rough (it looks like that because the video is a bit sped up) and second here is what Paul wrote me "My friends in museums now say books should be handled without gloves as out finger grease helps to keep the pages supple" #KeepWriting

You two are really something how else was he supposed to handle the book I get the idea of preserving history and crap but you do realize that everything comes to an end eventually humanity will be gone and the people who put the book together I imagine only wanted to pass down the knowledge to the next generation of people the next generation of people are the ones who are responsible for trying to make a more modern version of the book left behind for them and pass the knowledge down and add to whatever was there for a newer generation ...

Geomar Domingo these are scripts not fonts. And you are certainly correct there. It is difficult finding full alphabets. When I started out, I had a copy of the Universal Penman, and i systematically went through the WHOLE book writing letters on different alphabet pages to compile a list of the letters. You should checkout Penna Volans, Sybille has compiled a massive archive, she is currently at L. Have a look at have some fun. Glad you like the work!

Do you have any content about handwriting analysis, or the idea that our writing reveals and can even form us?
I studied Chinese and my approach emphasized the writing more than anything, and it seemed to affect on me, and I also wound up creating an entirely new font/style for when I write in English.
Anyways, excited to find and sub to the channel
