For my alt account I bought the Zeus ES LTI with the Solstice paint for this accounts only ship. I love both the stock white and the Solstice paint on this ship. It really is the best all around "starter" ship in my opinion. As a test I loaded 32 SCU of cargo on the grid and then parked a Cyclone MT on the ramp, and it fits like a glove with no clipping anywhere. This ship has the firepower to handle basic mercenary and bounty hunting missions, excellent for long range, excellent scanning capability. You can perform a lot of exploration with this ship, in the future when scanning gameplay gets an update the Cyclone RN will come in handy for ground exploration and will not impede on the cargo grid. If you want to run some illicit cargo, 32 SCU is plenty for a solo player to make some good money, and the extra shielding will come in handy. I love this for a solo player / multi player all around daily driver!
I never thought about trying to park on the ramp - I’m glad it works! Hopefully they don’t add too much in the way of “unsecured cargo” physics, otherwise all the nice display shelves won’t be worth using either.
Last try, I puted to Zeus 164 SCU (for CL std is 126) and I have screenshot. ) Good cargo logistic. Try it: 3x16, 34x2, 3x8, 4x6. If need, I can shoot the video... )
... the Zeus-ES is so damned-beautiful! The power-creep may not be real... but beauty-creep is. Even if it weren't the most compact and well-engineered bundle of "game-loops"... it's just too-much to resist visually. I never thought there would be situation where I didn't "have eyes" for the C1... but the Zeus has changed me. The C1 is dead to me... lol. Great-video, as always! I'm loving your armor and multi-tool-loadout. This is peak-fashion for me. Additionally... piloting a Zeus-ES, with tractor-beam-mech' and GreyCat-STV in the back... and your little lev'-gun-bike near the docking-collar: I'm not certain SC-life can get any-better at the moment!
I think the ES is a good ship. But for the cargo around 100SCU i rather take the Taurus out. It is about the same speed and has easier way to loading and unloading. And in price it does not differ that much anymore.
I upgraded to Zeus ES from Freelancer and was dreading it as a downgrade in DPS firepower and lower cargo, but your video gives me pause. I want to try a few Medium cargo missions now and see. 😃
Like all real space craft it is all about weight, CIG should place a weight limit on how much you can place in you craft. over limit and you simply can't take off. Honestly this ship is on my list of ships to own.
I like the ES more than the CL but except for the white paint it doesn't have much of a selling point for now over the CL. I wish they had done more with the living space instead of only putting some lame sitting bench in it.
It's the same price as the CL with an extra shield generator, more lving area, upgraded scanners (which will matter eventually) and singificantly larger hydrogen and quantum fuel capacities. Literally the only thing the CL has over the ES is cargo space.
@@pete3198 That's why I said "for now". There is no exploration game loop in the game and only god knows when it might come and how it will look. Until then (no doubt post 1.0) a lot of other ships will most likely be released and probably outdated the CS. The living area extra is hardly anything to go by, slightly larger kitchen and an extra bench in the quarters, nothing to write home about. So the extra shield is for a while the only significant difference. I have both btw, first upgraded to the CS then melted my S1 to buy the CL. I still do like the white paint more than all the other paints.
@LordCritish Hydrogen and quantum range is impactful right now - more range means you can take more trips (or longer trips) without having to refuel. Sure it will have MORE impact on the future, but it's still beneficial now. That puts the extra shield is easily enough to justify it over the CL if you don't need the extra cargo.
Isn't there a risk that unsnapped cargo will simply clitch out of the ship during the flight? At least that's my experience and I don't do that anymore.
I wouldn't be pinning your hopes or money on ships where you can cram cargo in non-grid areas. There will be consequences to that once CIG implement it into the game. Unsnapped cargo is going to cause alot of damage according to what's been said.

C1 is a lot easier to load IMHO. Zeus es/cl has a nicer layout aside from cargo though.
Thank you very much for this. I'm about to start packing this like a C1.

Zeus ES is beautiful but sadly is most prone and determined by balance. If nerfed or if CL buffed then instantly Zeus CL becomes superior
I don't think RSI ship will be nerfed. We will see.

Glad I could help o7

I have the ES as well but I've never tried stuffing that much cargo in. I've been thinking I picked the wrong Zeus, but looks like it might be OK!
I got 149scu into my CL earlier today
Job well done fella ,nice ship👍🏻
Thanks mate o7

I got it because of the extra shield and the bigger quantum and fuel tank.

C1 way better for this... BUT the Zeus has way better layout and quick exit. Love the Zeus more than the C1
Since i bought the CL how can i get th ES now....?
Melt it and buy ES if it is still available or if not, wait for IAE it will be available to buy.
@@infinitespace239 I bought the CL LTI with solstice paint so i will lose the LTI
its not that big of a difference, es gets one extra shield, larger tank, and bigger radar, but the CL can also fulfill the daily driver role very well
@@golgoth74 Melt it, then buy the Warbond Argo CSV-SM with LTI, then do a CCU to the Zeus ES....

Never happened to me, ever. o7

Lol we played on the same server, I explored that same constellation hahahah
Small world 😄
