I've completed rdr2 multiple times and to this day the last ride and his death still brings a tear to my eye. Some of the best acting to ever be in a video game.
Anyone noticed how the sunsets are more beautiful, peaceful, and mystical the closer you get to Arthur's Death? I played this game late last year for the first time and was genuinely depressed for a while after the ending.
I have watched so many replays of this in full, and I will say you were one of, if not my favourite reactor so far. Thank you for the laughs and tears ❤
I still after all these years come back to Arthur's death scene and just ball my eyes out...it really was just insane how much a video game affected people...
The Horse dying really sets it off. Its almost as bad as watching Arthur take his last breath alone there on the ridge. He gave everything for the Gang. Didnt receive anything in return.
If only hollywood films had a storyline as good as RDR2 this game is amazing from start to finish and yes it had me crying on the last ride I had just lost my dad two before and when the music started i lost it what a game . It's amazing how a song can tear at your heart in such a way perfect song for the Arthur's last ride
"I tried, in the end, I really did" Yes you did Arthur, and you succeeded with flying colors my friend. This game is a masterpiece and anyone would be hard pressed to disprove that. Amazing playthrough Miranda, I am very grateful to have been able to ride along with you on it.
It's been such a privilege watching your playthrough, easily the best one I've seen for this amazing game. Your reaction to the final scenes were everything - thanks so much for investing your heart and soul into it.
Three years later and i still fcked up with this. This game really hits me hard. I wil never forgive the 2018 Game Award for not give the GOTY to this masterpiece.
what a story..those characters..amazing that transition between the end of arthur and the beginning of john will always be one of my favorite things in this game..that music just hits the epilogue will be a fresh breath of air and i'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot, there's a lot to in this part of the game
The horse moment is the perfect illustration of the art of videogames as distinct from other mediums since it is based on player engagement and not just author narrative intent
I enjoyed this playthough so much, you’re now my favorite person to have played this game. Not only did you play this game but you played it at the highest level, you played this game like no other person I’ve seen before, you searched every nook and cranny, you found things I didn’t even find until my 3rd or 4th playthough and you did so many side missions, it was truly amazing.
It's such a devastating moment when your horse dies, I can completely relate. Losing Arthur was really sad, but you kind of knew it was coming at some point soon. But I'd kept the same, fairly average brown horse I'd got right at the start all the way through the entire game to that point. I never used fast travel at all, we'd traversed every inch of the map and been through everything together. RIP My Lovely Horse.
I've played through this story about 5 times now, and as soon as that music plays while riding back to camp after rescuing Abigail, I'm an absolute wreck. This game is a masterpiece of storytelling...
I played through that section for the first time ever yesterday (beat the rest of the game today). After reading through this comment section, I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one in a wreak of tears when Arthur was riding back to camp.
Thank you so much for this playthrough and the time you took to include so much detail. You found things that I have never seen on my playthroughs or watching other playthroughs. I’m so excited to see you complete the Epilogue. Your channel is amazing💖 RIP to the amazing Arthur Morgan and to Galadriel, the bestest horse😭💖
We will miss Arthur, but lets be honest, other than his speed, Galadriel was a skitish crap horse, constantly running off, and dumping Arthur at the least excuse. I would have sold him for dogfood long ago.
The music is SO amazing in the RDR series. I remember being hit in the heart multiple times by how cinematically beautiful it was. Heartbreaking too. I honestly think this was one of the saddest moments in a game for me.
John will help you heal❤. Aurthur and John grew up together as young brothers under Dutch and Hosea….the main 4 members before anyone else joined the gang. The heart of this game grows through the epilogues. I encourage you not to rush through but still take the time to grow with the characters, explore the map, and relax as it begins slow but picks up pace later on. I’ve watched several play-throughs and thought I had my favorite reactor but you have taken that spot🙂. I’ve played the game twice and might one more time, not sure but it’s been great reliving it with you. Take good care‼️
Been watching peoples' playthrus to this final part of the game and I gotta say, your gameplay was as fun to watch as your reaction to the story. After seeing so much Volcanic+Dead Eye cheese it was refreshing to see you blasting fools with the semi shotty up close, switching to the Lancaster for harder shots, and making it rain lead with the dual pistols. Your skilled gameplay, the occasional accent (can't resist talkin' with one after playing this game for long), and heartfelt reactions made it a great watch 🤠
I just watched your entire playthrough to this point and i’ll just like to say that i loved every episode, your reactions and humor. Every episode made me laugh and when you cried i cried with you. It truely felt like playing it for the first time again. Keep being you and making videos. Thank you, youve made me laugh so much the past few weeks and i really needed that. So Thank you for being you
I absolutely enjoyed watching this series ❤️😂 I would love to see you go back and just ride around again just to see your reaction of coming back to the game
That last ride with Arthur after saying goodbye to Abigail was the saddest part of the game - hit me right in the feels! I think it is only beaten by the start of TLOU...if you know you know! Great video btw, and greetings from Scotland 🙂
I have thoroughly enjoyed your playthrough of one of my favorite games. Watching someone play this game blind, is the closest I can get to playing it for the first time again. From an earlier community post of yours, I know you are going to play the epilogue as well and I am really looking forward to that. Not going into spoiler territory of course, but you have a lot more game to play - I think and hope you will enjoy the remaining hours RDR2 has to offer. Think you will enjoy the goofy chaos in GTA, you will certainly love the webslinging in Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales and... if I may add another game-suggestion to go in our ever-growing pile; Batman: Arkham Asylum, City, Origins and Knight.
On my 100% play through, I didn’t cry for the first time even though I replayed the story a couple of times. I was satisfied that I spent so much time with Arthur. I love this game so much bro
I really like how with low honour Arthur tells sadie about how he robbed an old man and Dutch scolded him for it. Really shows how much Dutch had changed. Plus show Arthur is more selfish is really interesting to see and low honour ride really has different feel to it. I the high honour Last ride really made tear up while low is really depressing.
It was so easy to become invested in the life of Arthur Morgan I feel it every time he takes his last breath on that mountain top . First and only video game I have ever shed a tear over . I never played RDR1 , so I had no idea about the story . Was really disappointed when I found out about Arthur dying , I really enjoy playing as Arthur much more then as John . I have since gotten RDR1 for PS3 and played through .
Arthur's death is very hard but I had to stop the game for about five minutes after my horse died. I've grown up with horses my entire life and it was way too real for me to be back in a situation like that even if it was virtual.
Omg we are here already, i was so heartbroken and bawled my eyes out by this ending too holy sh*t this game is just PHENOMENAL. probably the second game I've been like this isn't just a video game but an experience everyone should atleast play once. just like the last of us series for me oof😭😭😭
That was an amazing play through of the main story, drunken pirate Arthur has to be the best rdr2 moment on RUclips. Thanks for bringing us along on your journey, Miranda
I have been following your entire journey with Arthur and have been both looking forward to and dreading this episode for you. I don't think anyone is ever quite ready for all the emotional blows it brings, my own personal experience at playing it have taught me. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us through both the good times and the hard ones. Your honest feelings of smiles, laughter and tears showcase the masterpiece this game is. I look forward to your continued journey in this game and those yet to come.
A little detail about the game. In a random encounter at camp Hosea, Leny and Tilly will be talking about how they wanna be buried, Arthur says he wanna be buried facing west, looking at the setting sun and be able to look back at the fine times they all had together. But when Arthur dies, he is facing east looking at the rising sun, not looking into the past anymore, but looking into the future, knowing John made it out and that his brother can have the chance at a life he himself didn't have
This game honestly deserved a oscar the story was that good. Im now 46 with 5 kids 2 off them grown up and this game still hits me hard at the end. But loved your playthrough definitely my favourite on youtube you did a awesome job 👏
Damn.. I haven't cried this much since I played the game myself a few years ago.. It hurts 😢 I had to take a break for a couple of weeks until I started John's questline.
I just finished my second playthrough and am now in the process of binging rdr2 reaction videos to justify my own reactions. Let me tell you I was a mess. Like weeping crying. This is testament to both the Rockstar writers and the voice actors as well. My God, this game is near perfect. Chapter 6 will crush your soul. I'm still finding myself dazing off thinking about arthur. So crazy sad.
I cried with you! R.I.P Arthur Morgan!😭 I started your series back in August this year and I've enjoyed watching your gameplay! Of course I'm going to continue watching to the end of the Epilogue! I only played the game for my first time at the end of last year and it was a blast! I pre-ordered the game for PC back in 2019 but I just wasn't in the right mindset to play it and then after 2 years, I finally started it! One of the best games I've ever played and it makes me really excited to see what Rockstar do next with their future games!
Played the final of main story yesterday and wondered why I didn't see Arthur die. Now in your video I see him robbing and looking into the sun ... well, maybe I pressed A ... but I can't imagine that. I saw Micah's "we can make it" and then Marston Family Epilogue
This has hands down been my #1 play through of RDR2 and I’ve watched a TON … mind you, I’ve seen some very notable playthroughs that I’ve enjoyed immensely but yours has stood above the rest If anyone is wondering who else are some of my favorites, they’re ChristopherOdd and ReySkywlker
i needed this.... i got to this spot in the game the day after my 17 year old dog passed away. I totally lost it.. this game is truly the most amazing game ever imo
I’ve played this game on Xbox. Watching this video brought back memories. I love your play though. … Thanks for bringing back those tears. Watching your emotions made me cry too ! I literally had a tear running down my face. 😢….. Geez
Don't think I've ever cried in a movie or game before except this game. I've finished this game 7 times now and that last ride always breaks me.... Sending you hugs Miranda.
best game I have ever played by a long way, no movie never mind game has ever made me cry, but this game gave me such a lump in my throat that I could not speak to my wife, I had to fight back the tears with all I had, it's just a game, but what a game. I have done 4 run throughs of the game now, and each time I find so many things I have never found before, even the epilogue is excellent. I find it hard to get into a new game now cos nothing compares to this game. Incredible.
it's always bittersweet watching someone play it for the first time and knowing this moment is inevitably gonna come... seriously this game is a phenomenon on its own i've never seen another piece of fictional media cause literal depression to everyone who consumed it. I'M NOT EVEN JOKING after I finished it for weeks I had legit depression I lost passion for everything and I cried myself to sleep every night but over time it got better so trust me you will get back from this eventually, just like with any loss/mourning. I'm so happy you're gonna play the epilogue because so many youtubers are either too lazy or dont care enough to finish it and it's such a big fucking mistake because the epilogue is just as amazing as the main story + it gives perfect closure EDIT: ALSO after you're done with the epilogue I recommend playing a bit of Red Dead Online, yeah it's wonky as hell and Rockstar pretty much gave up on it but there are some great moments with story characters and it's always fun watching someone playing Online after they finished the main story. it has tons of callbacks to red dead 1 too, like you get to meet characters from rdr that didn't make an appearance in the rdr2 story it's great
When you said "How do you go on? How do you come back from this? How do you cope?" at 1:02:22 all I can say is that you really don't. I can't listen to 'See the Fire in Your Eyes' or 'That's the way it is' without tearing up. RDR2 is a beautiful game with flaws but a beautiful story. I cried my eyes out and was screaming for Arthur to get up during that last fight with Micah even though I knew he wasn't going to make it. RDR2 is my favorite game.
the more times you play this game the easier it is to chain playthroughs back to back tbh. but i think my most special playthrough was my third. it was a 100% completion playthrough, and i was never more attached to a horse in all my playthroughs than i was to my thoroughbred venus in that one. i cried for like an hour when i finally finished the whole thing. it took me well over 200 hours on that one alone. it's such a stellar game. deserves so much more love and recognition from rockstar and from critics than it already gets.
Just discovered your channel. Hope that's not your last episode, beside the epilogue there's a hole region of the map you haven't even see yet that you can explore as John, New Austin. Also the game is filled with secret Easter eggs you most likely missed

Rest in peace Captain Morgan! We'll miss ya! Off on a new adventure...
Anyone noticed how the sunsets are more beautiful, peaceful, and mystical the closer you get to Arthur's Death? I played this game late last year for the first time and was genuinely depressed for a while after the ending.
The memories coming back definitely one of the sadest games
I have watched so many replays of this in full, and I will say you were one of, if not my favourite reactor so far. Thank you for the laughs and tears ❤
I still after all these years come back to Arthur's death scene and just ball my eyes out...it really was just insane how much a video game affected people...
The Horse dying really sets it off. Its almost as bad as watching Arthur take his last breath alone there on the ridge. He gave everything for the Gang. Didnt receive anything in return.
If only hollywood films had a storyline as good as RDR2 this game is amazing from start to finish and yes it had me crying on the last ride
I had just lost my dad two before and when the music started i lost it what a game . It's amazing how a song can tear at your heart in such a way perfect song for the Arthur's last ride
One of the most beautiful games on the PS4 era! Mirandalorian, it was a pleasure watching you play 💛
"I tried, in the end, I really did" Yes you did Arthur, and you succeeded with flying colors my friend.
This game is a masterpiece and anyone would be hard pressed to disprove that. Amazing playthrough Miranda, I am very grateful to have been able to ride along with you on it.
I hated seeing everyone ignore Arthurs advice and seeing everything play out the way he said
Epilogue time! You'll enjoy it. It's quite a different vibe and pace than the main story, but still very fun.
The song thats the way it is brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it
It's been such a privilege watching your playthrough, easily the best one I've seen for this amazing game. Your reaction to the final scenes were everything - thanks so much for investing your heart and soul into it.
Three years later and i still fcked up with this. This game really hits me hard. I wil never forgive the 2018 Game Award for not give the GOTY to this masterpiece.
who won
God of War
@michaelhouseman5552 Maybe it should have been RDR2.
what a story..those characters..amazing
that transition between the end of arthur and the beginning of john will always be one of my favorite things in this game..that music just hits
the epilogue will be a fresh breath of air and i'm sure you'll enjoy it a lot, there's a lot to in this part of the game
there's no way not to cry, this game and its story was incredible
It is one of the best story driven games I've played.
Rdr2 is one of 3 games that has made me cry😭
The horse moment is the perfect illustration of the art of videogames as distinct from other mediums since it is based on player engagement and not just author narrative intent
I enjoyed this playthough so much, you’re now my favorite person to have played this game. Not only did you play this game but you played it at the highest level, you played this game like no other person I’ve seen before, you searched every nook and cranny, you found things I didn’t even find until my 3rd or 4th playthough and you did so many side missions, it was truly amazing.
been about a year since i cried over this game, playing it as many times as i have. seeing you get emotional got to me. thanks for that, it felt good!
I love the way you looked forward to its details, you took your time, you enjoyed and suffered in this game, this video was like looking at myself
😢😭
This game actually destroyed me emotionally for quite a long time. This is a masterpiece from Rockstar.
42:30 That moment when the game became more than a game. I'll never forget it.
Your channel is amazing💖
RIP to the amazing Arthur Morgan and to Galadriel, the bestest horse😭💖
Makes me cry every time and I’m 12 been playing since 6
Love you so much Arthur ❤️🩹❤️
If I could replay any game ever with no memory of it, it'd be this masterpiece
Been watching peoples' playthrus to this final part of the game and I gotta say, your gameplay was as fun to watch as your reaction to the story. After seeing so much Volcanic+Dead Eye cheese it was refreshing to see you blasting fools with the semi shotty up close, switching to the Lancaster for harder shots, and making it rain lead with the dual pistols.
Your skilled gameplay, the occasional accent (can't resist talkin' with one after playing this game for long), and heartfelt reactions made it a great watch 🤠
Thank you for watching!! The fact that you said "skilled gameplay" just made my day 🥲❤
That was such an emotional ending, the connection between Character’s and the Story is so good. You will be missed Arthur Morgan! 🤗
Boo
What helped the pain in this video was the sheer venom in your voice at 1:03:21 when you said "Don't say his name" after John mentioned Dutch.
Yeah the start of the epilogue is a little tedious, but it's worth it.
Oh yes definitely the arkham series
I’m gonna watch this as soon as I get home and I’m gonna cry with you 😢. It gets me every time
I can feel you. Was depressed for about a week, and in fresh memory because I played it few months back. Felt like a best friend had died.
On my 100% play through, I didn’t cry for the first time even though I replayed the story a couple of times. I was satisfied that I spent so much time with Arthur. I love this game so much bro
This series has absolutely been my favorite and I would really love to see an another playthrough on the channel!
BY FAR the most emotional I've ever been from any video game, movie, etc.... . For about a month afterwards if l thought about it the eyes welled up.
Aw we know how much you loved Arthur 😢 I cried like a baby at the end too 🤍 big hugs!
Aw man.... I've played this game 2 times now, on my 3rd run and watching your reactions and the scenes made me cry. Damn.... Best game ever.
Honestly I was dreading this episode because no matter how many times you see it it hurts each and every time
So true, a testament to the amazing writing. This is one of my favourite stories of any medium I have ever seen.
I think we were all heartbroken at Arthur's death and our beloved horse.
Same 🥹🥺
Arthur's death is very hard but I had to stop the game for about five minutes after my horse died.
Grown-ass man here, you held it together waaay better than I did during that last ride back to camp. Hell of a game.
Man I love seeing everyone complete this game, was awesome to watch your playthrough!!! Excited for what's to come on your channel!
A little detail about the game.
In a random encounter at camp
Hosea, Leny and Tilly will be talking about how they wanna be buried, Arthur says he wanna be buried facing west, looking at the setting sun and be able to look back at the fine times they all had together.
But loved your playthrough definitely my favourite on youtube you did a awesome job 👏
a slight evil grin came across your face when you realized your using the Gatlin gun on the train...lol. Love it.
Arthur’s death is still one of the most heart wrenching part of any game I’ve played
Truth
I cried with you! R.I.P Arthur Morgan!😭 I started your series back in August this year and I've enjoyed watching your gameplay! Of course I'm going to continue watching to the end of the Epilogue! I only played the game for my first time at the end of last year and it was a blast! I pre-ordered the game for PC back in 2019 but I just wasn't in the right mindset to play it and then after 2 years, I finally started it! One of the best games I've ever played and it makes me really excited to see what Rockstar do next with their future games!
I hope you had someone to give you a hug after all that. That was a rough episode.
Played the final of main story yesterday and wondered why I didn't see Arthur die. Now in your video I see him robbing and looking into the sun ... well, maybe I pressed A ... but I can't imagine that. I saw Micah's "we can make it" and then Marston Family Epilogue
The epilogue is so worth it, especially for the final mission…
This has hands down been my #1 play through of RDR2 and I’ve watched a TON … mind you, I’ve seen some very notable playthroughs that I’ve enjoyed immensely but yours has stood above the rest
If anyone is wondering who else are some of my favorites, they’re ChristopherOdd and ReySkywlker
i needed this.... i got to this spot in the game the day after my 17 year old dog passed away. I totally lost it.. this game is truly the most amazing game ever imo
I am impressed on how you avoided the spoilers for so long
I’ve played this game on Xbox.
It's been a GREAT journey with You through the BEST GAME EVER. As Arthur says to our dying horse" Thank You "
I usually don't get emotioanl over a video game but THIS generation brought me to tears especially this masterpiece.
best game I have ever played by a long way, no movie never mind game has ever made me cry, but this game gave me such a lump in my throat that I could not speak to my wife, I had to fight back the tears with all I had, it's just a game, but what a game.
I'm so happy you're gonna play the epilogue because so many youtubers are either too lazy or dont care enough to finish it and it's such a big fucking mistake because the epilogue is just as amazing as the main story + it gives perfect closure
EDIT: ALSO after you're done with the epilogue I recommend playing a bit of Red Dead Online, yeah it's wonky as hell and Rockstar pretty much gave up on it but there are some great moments with story characters and it's always fun watching someone playing Online after they finished the main story. it has tons of callbacks to red dead 1 too, like you get to meet characters from rdr that didn't make an appearance in the rdr2 story it's great
When you said "How do you go on? How do you come back from this? How do you cope?" at 1:02:22 all I can say is that you really don't. I can't listen to 'See the Fire in Your Eyes' or 'That's the way it is' without tearing up. RDR2 is a beautiful game with flaws but a beautiful story. I cried my eyes out and was screaming for Arthur to get up during that last fight with Micah even though I knew he wasn't going to make it. RDR2 is my favorite game.
It makes it more sad because is how aurthur was trying to be a better person
the more times you play this game the easier it is to chain playthroughs back to back tbh. but i think my most special playthrough was my third. it was a 100% completion playthrough, and i was never more attached to a horse in all my playthroughs than i was to my thoroughbred venus in that one. i cried for like an hour when i finally finished the whole thing. it took me well over 200 hours on that one alone. it's such a stellar game. deserves so much more love and recognition from rockstar and from critics than it already gets.
Just discovered your channel. Hope that's not your last episode, beside the epilogue there's a hole region of the map you haven't even see yet that you can explore as John, New Austin. Also the game is filled with secret Easter eggs you most likely missed
Oh it's not!
I've played through a couple times and the horse always has me in tears. Honestly everything starting at Arthur's last ride.
