and i might mention placement of 88s is a blunder as far as strategy goes. Also, it appears to me that this game is ignorant I guess as they only way to put it, I mean the computer isn't responsible for where defenses are placed and why, but it seems that outflanking is a common strategy for the hoards and works quite well, there is no reinforcing fire you don't put 88 on the edge of a cliff you don't pile tanks into a big heap and you don't let your aircraft attack halfway through the battle etc. etc. etc.
My only criticisms are that you don't force choke points and get easily outflanked by numerical hordes.

the 88s are useless for anything but aircraft and tanks ,, 25 mini guns would do the work of 300 of those things,,a strategic blunder to even consider them for the use you put them too lol
