I hear it being said but if a person is being talked about & having good matches “Vanilla” does not apply. “Vanilla midget” is one of the oddest slang in wrestling. Especially in an industry that has a history of having a lot of clones of other wrestlers who were considered big.

Agreed! I love AEW and I love high spots, but sadly AEW constantly shows shots of wrestlers standing and waiting to catch. They need to utilize angles that hide people on the outside more often.

Even though they were literally given like 10 minutes for this main event. Both wrestlers went balls to the wall! Great main event. Wouldn't mind seeing them go at it again in the future with a longer time limit.

@@EraclesK I think he's deceptively good. He showed in this match and his match against Scorpio Sky that he knows how to start at a good, slow pace, and wrestle a very technically sound style, and build up to the big flashy high spots so they have more meaning.
Also, he and Rey Fenix are probably the only two people who should be allowed to do the Tope Suicida, since when they do it, it actually looks "suicidal" and not like a really lame jumping shove where they land on their feet. It looks like he's destroying himself to destroy his opponent. It actually means something when he does it.

I've always sighted Darby Allin as my favorite wrestler in AEW, but I couldn't help cheering Silver during the main event. I feel conflicted in the best possible way.
And that's when you know they're doing their job well.

John Silver activated "John Gold" here, damn he deserves to be a TNT champ in the future, also appreciate the respect from Darby and Sting.
John Silver put forth his best efforts against Darby Allin and almost became the new TNT Champion. If only he held on just a bit longer he could've won it. Definitely a great match, hope Silver's shoulder heals up.

the fact that silver continued the match w/ a separated shoulder proves that he's got a lot of guts and is someone that is a true superstar. that was a hell of a match and i enjoyed the closing moments. notably for tay conti to help out the dark order and go after the bunny.

Silver locking on the Queenslayer as a nod to Anna Jay made my cold, dead, cynical heart grow 10 sizes. Johnny Hungiee is an absolute STAR.
I can always depend on AEW Dynamite to cheer me up. Their performers truly deliver. No matter where they are on the card, they always put on a great show! This is professional wrestling that you truly can count on.

John Silver really got the opportunity to put a great main event match against Darby.
This was a solid match between Darby and Silver. I thought Lance was gonna come out and attack Sting during that brawl.

Great Match, John Silver really stepped up to the point to show he’s a worthy challenger as he gets better each week, if he had won this hell it would have been a sweet victory and tribute to Mr Brodie Lee, hope these two have a rematch again down the line

What a match!! This is what AEW should be!
Here's my pitch for what should be done with Dark Order. After their feud with Matt Hardy maybe get them into another feud with some other group that is also feuding with Hangman Adam. Once they defeat them, do what we all want to happen and have Adam Page feud with Kenny Omega, once Kenny completes his arc and we get the dream match of him vs Ibushi ofc. Anyways, Adam beats Kenny for the AEW title, and celebrates with DO. Now here's where the big storyline starts. A few weeks after this, some big heel goes to DO and keeps scolding them for being Adam's cronies and tells them they were once a dominant force and with the right leadership they could be dominant again, winning championships. Slowly plant the seeds, have DO lose some matches making them frustrated as Adam keeps winning. They are still friends with Adam though. Then do a promo segment where The Big Heel just goes ballistic at them and scolds them saying they are ruining the DO legacy. Finally, hesitantly they agree to have the Big Heel as their leader. Adam tries to talk some sense into DO but the Big Heel keeps interrupting him whenever he does and distanced Adam from DO, telling DO that great stables don't have time for goofing around. He makes DO a workhorse, all work and no fun. He prevents them from seeing Adam. Then he begins ordering the DO to intervene in his matches and get him wins until finally one time he tells them to take out one of his competitor after a match. Maybe Brandon Cutler, a friend of Adam. Adam comes to his rescue and tries to talk sense into DO when the Big Heel orders DO to attack Adam. In a climatic emotional moment, after some hesitation they oblige and beat Adam, crying as they do. They try to apologise afterwards saying it wasn't personal and they were told he was a competitor but Adam doesn't want to listen. DO is sad and miserable now. They are under the dictatorship of the Big Heel who makes his AEW championship contender run, winning a tournament and facing Adam. Throughout the tournament he treats DO like his cronies. He becomes proud and arrogant and treats them like trash. On the day of the Adam vs Big Heel match, Big Heel uses interference from DO to get the upper hand. Then as the final minutes approach, he does Brody Lee's taunt while doing the powerbomb and this just ignites something in DO. Till now the Big Heel never explicitly mentioned Brodie Lee or said he was replacing him. But this action makes DO think that now Big Heel considers himself a replacement of Brodie Lee. They remember how Brodie won his first Tnt championship by himself. That was the dominance of DO. They were a group of ppl supporting one another, not living under a dictator. They cause a distraction which causes Adam to get the upper hand while a betrayed Big Heel looks bewildered. Then Buck Shot Lariot. One Two Three. Adam retains. DO storms the ring and take out all their frustration on the Big Heel beating the shit outta him. They then beg Adam for forgiveness and Adam forgives as they all celebrate like they did when Adam won the title

Imo AEW is moving up another level. Tonight AEW showed what they're young guys can do in the ring. I think this year dynamite will hit over million viewers and stay above it. It's about to get interesting.
