you want old school sound? you got whole line up of Grado headphones, they are even built like post WW2 sets of headphones 🤣 of course if you can bare that heavy pricing for piece of junk :)
@@Skeeb23 sound wise they are unique but overall only their cheapest options are worth considering since even more expensive models got same bullshit built, cable that could be a weapon and similar house sound
I will never buy another Fotex with proprietary cable connections. Not that I'm about to argue about sound differences, but that fact that Fostex's cables are the worst I have ever experianced. They feel and behave like an angry teenager with ADHD with a penchant for curling up then getting rigor mortis.
@DrNoahBoddy004 astonishingly uncomtroled bass, which bleads into the lower mid fundamentals like with percussion and lower strings. Paird with an upper mid pina gain shift, which cuts off the fundamentals of female and higher string instruments like guitars. Finally, an over exaggerated lower treble treble, so the harmonic overtones overtake their fundamentals, leading to a fizzy yet blunted sound. Ultimately, it was that mid bass to lower mid transition that sealed it for me. Makes it bleed into everything. It sounds like a subwoofer playing at 500hz.
@@En_Joshi-Godrez To me, these headphones are not that bassy. Also, no one has ever bought a TH-series can by Fostex without modding it. The TH-909\TH-808\TH-900 requires a good synergy with an amp, more than any headphone you can think of. Which is a defect in my opinion. After modding it can blow your head off (Sub-bass wise) without bleeding into the mids.
Nice headphones, Ryan! 😮🎧 ❤
😃Thanks for your time!

@@soulfulfool ha! Grado has a very big following who would disagree. I'm not one of those, just stating. Agree they have that old school look though.

mate you can buy an adapter. changes the fostex connector to 2pin/mmcx or whatever. then you can use an iem cable for 10 bucks
@@sperin98 oh cool, didn’t know that. I’ve had two pairs, one from Drop with non detachable cables and one with their usual connectors. Good to know.
Anyone with functioning hearing should understand how bad these are.

@DrNoahBoddy004 Oh, and of course, its comfort was a joke with those pads and now ancient head strap.
@@En_Joshi-Godrez you get the gold! On that 500Hz subwoofer! (lol)🌹😂
And I did find them somewhat loose-fitting myself.👍
