I just ordered the same one. I am on a mission to have the dolls that I had when I was younger! Any dolls from the late 1970’s-mid 1980’s I am looking for. BUT….it has to be one that I had or that I wanted, and THIS ONE…..I wanted!!!!!! I was in high school in 1988, but I was dumb enough not to collect Barbies anymore. Making up for lost time!!!!!
Regaurding Christie. The African American charactor Christie in the Barbie line, actually started in the late 60s. IE, Twist and Turn Christie(1968) Talking Christie (1969), Live Action Christie(1971), Malibu Christie(1972), just to name a few of the earlier ones. She at that time had a boyfriend whom was marketed at Ken's buddy Brad. The name was used on and off for many years after.

Y logré dar con ella hace muchos años justo en el 88 , mi primo me la mandó de los Estados Unidos Americanos!!! Para esa Navidad, fue la única de Matel ,que tuve , mi mamá me dijo ese día no la vayas a sacar de la caja, pero un tío malicioso ,pasado de tragos , dando la vuelta mi mamá ; me dijo: te la abro?? Y yo le dije: siii y me rompió la caja en pedazos Y perdí ese mismo día la estrella y el peluchito ese, tengo tan presente a esa preciosa muñeca, y siempre le recuerdo a mi primo que con ese regalo me hizo tan Feliz!!
This was the best era of barbie i grew up with barbie i had thisbdoll too. Mattle screwed up making babries real. The outifts today look like the ugly halloween costumes we had when i was little the phony all plastic ones. It makes me angry bc mattle was notorious for ending amazing doll lines from hasbro ect. The 80s was Barbie’s BEST decade. Peaches n Cream is still my favorite of all time with Barbie and the Rockers in second… There were cassettes with original music so you could put on Barbie concerts. 😂🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
