Sorry for videobombing you guys at 9:51 . Very informative video! I had no idea the trailer was that close to completion! Well done to Llangollen team.
Haha no worries mate it was good to meet and chat to you! Keep up the good work with your videos and hopefully see you at more railcar events in the future!
That is going to be a lovely unit when the restoration is complete; as a youngster, I always found the frontal treatment of these units made them look very stern and I found that quite disturbing! Thanks for the video, most informative.
You could well be thinking of the Class 101 Met cam units which have a makers door step that say Metro Camel on who are the builders of those units. This unit in the video is a Gloucester carriage and wagon built class 100.

Great to see how this unit is being restored to how it originally was.
It most certainly is! Thanks for watching :)
Didn't this unit run at the NYMR many years ago? I'm sure I remember seeing it up there when I was a nipper.
It did indeed from the Early 70s to mid 80s before moving on eventually to the west Somerset railway before ending up where it is now.
My recollections of these is a maker's plate on the floor that said Camel. That would suggest to me they were built at Camel Lairds.

Excellent work. All extremely time consuming, but it will look fantastic when complete.
