Classic comment! 🙄 Isn’t it amazing how Mr. Video has an international following? p.s. I love Norwegian/Scandinavian movies and tv shows. Watching Lillehammer and Norsemen along with great murder mysteries. 😀 I’m in Florida but I’d move to Norway to get away from politics here.

James Brown... The Godfather of Soul... my Mom and Dad grew up with Soul music and made sure that I knew that... knew about Sam and Dave, James Brown, Aretha Franklin. I hate to be "that guy", and I didn't appreciate it at the time... but after my guitar teacher introduced me to the blues and jazz, my mind was opened to all this goodness.

The hardest working man in showbusiness, Godfather of Soul. What else do you need to know? He always gave it all, and his band was always 1st class. This old man remembers listening to him as an early teenager. He also had some amazing dance moves. Love YOUR brother. Not love you brother.

Once I was taking a bus across Belize and the bus driver played James Brown Greatest Hits at volume 15. We all sang our hearts out. 4 of the best hours of my life.
1966 was before women could be engineers at Ford motor co. So yes, men did make the cars back then as the lyric said. There were no consequences for beating your wife, and, women couldn't get credit on their own, even if they worked. It was so much more a man's world back then. As you said, Mr. V, men will always out muscle when push comes shove.

James was a little before my time. He scared me when I was a little girl and he was on Soul Train or Midnight Special. He was a screamer and I didn't get it yet when I was 6 or 7 years old. lmao The movie Get on Up was a movie before the music biopics were getting the respect they deserved and Chadwick Boseman was robbed. He killed the role of James in it. Nothing in music hasn't been touched by James Brown.
