Whoever that are saying Chen is good techniquely but lacks emotions ,should Just listen to this ,his voice is so emotional specially his angelic soft voice man Im in tears.Lay has a very beautiful emotional voice too.D.O also do a good job.I prefer this version than korean one as this made me more emotional .

Whoever said that doesn't have ears. I'm not an emotional person myself but I've cried listening the first notes of drunken truth in 2015, I've cried listening to I'm not okay. I've cried listening to I'll be there even though i didn't read the lyrics that time 🥺 Jongdae's power isn't the technique it's his ability to touch people's hearts. When i first joined fandom in 2015 and choose him as my bias, i started watching Chinese versions of songs. And even if the sound was so strange to me i really really fell in love with every single song that he sings. His voice is magical, and me too. I prefer almost all the Chinese versions, because of Jongdae. Jongdae is God's gift to humans

@@lsj5436 I agree 100% His power is not nailing high notes so perfectly & his powerful vocals but it's his voice that touch people's heart.He is the only singer that made me cry not just in ballads but also in songs about a happy things as I got tears thinking how perfect his vocals are .Im a new fan,I didnt cared about kpop before well I was more interested on vocals ,good lyrics than rap ,dances by idols.I was more of a drama fan,actually I have listened to some songs but no song/singer couldnt attracted me . His Every time I need you ost shocked me.But it was around 2016 & I became his fan after watching D.Os(I liked him as a actor ) awards ,accidentally I clicked on best luck performance by Chen with D.O smiling to his singing ,Its where I found Chen ,then Exo.Well I cant explain how amazing ,healing,emotional his voice is.I prefer chinese versions than korean versions one reason is Chen's vocals ,Tao's rap ,all of their vocals are more powerful .

I became a fan in 2015 but what's funny in 2014 when i was watching 'it's okay it's love' i liked his ost so much that i downloaded it on my phone didn't even knowing who he was, and only discovered him months after
He's special human 🥺 There was a time that i hated his high notes because people were acknowledging only that and associating him only with high notes, and i was just... how can you not see that he's more than high notes? Like he can sing everything: r&b, pop, rock, rap, trot. High notes and low notes, he can just hum but it will sound beautiful. And these days many have great vocal technique but Jongdae's voice is a gift from heaven, because he makes you feel the song, he makes you feel the lyrics. And it's just amazing, not many vocalists can do that, not many can touch hearts and comfort people
I still remember when the lyricist of "I'll be there" told that everyone in recording room were crying during the recording. All his songs are meaningful, they're so Jongdae
And yes, Chinese versions of Exo songs... they're more mature and emotional in my opinion, sad that we'll never see their live stages
