Persona 4 the Animation is a gift we didn't deserve.
Persona 5 the Animation on the other hand ..... is a beautiful train-wreck that occasionally had funny moments. Good animation for its first episode and openings. And "Akechi Quota" helped with making him feel more developed.
You know I was kinda hoping they would do something interesting with Akechi since they gave him soooo much screen time in the animation, but no, such a dissapointment.
The amount of salt I have for P5A would probably make a bottle of soy sauce taste sweet

Yu seems to have traits from the Animation here, like his weirdness and jokeyness. Compared to his Arena/Arena Ultimax Dancing All Night Personality, where he's not weird, and is more serious, but still jokey.
It feels to me like they adapted some hints from his anime personality in Arena/Ultimax and DAN, but toned down the goofiness a bit. He's still fairly entertaining imo.

Yu Narukami is so fuckijg unhinged he becomes immune to any form of cringe.
I just love the fact that Yu gets away with everything that would send flying every other male character.
The only exception I can remember is when he was thrown from a cliff on the campout.
Or when he is punished with yoskue like at beauty pageant
In the anime adaptation, Yu Narukami is depicted as quiet, polite and calm for most situations. Before the awakening of his Persona, Yu seemed to be emotionless and cold at times, as well as occasionally deadpan. Afterwards, however, he is shown to value the bonds of friendship between the members of the Investigation Team and is highly concerned about his friends, going to great lengths in order to help others. As he grows closer to the group he opens up more and more, and by the end, he is as unique (though still quieter) as any of the other characters.
He has a dry sense of humor and sometimes does questionable things which he thinks are funny. He also seems a bit naive and oblivious to certain situations, which somehow keeps working to his benefit; especially when dealing with the girls, as he is able to get away with things that would warrant a smack for any of the other male characters, mainly due to how little he would mean offense. He's also shown to be somewhat perverted, saying he wished that he taped "Yukiko's Hunt for Prince Charming" and repeatedly pressing the record button on his TV remote during "Rise's Daring Challenge." During the course of the story, it is revealed his biggest insecurity is abandonment, fearing to lose contact with all of his friends when he moves away from them. By the end of the show, he accepts his Shadow and acknowledges that he has to accept being separated from them when the time comes.

Oh my God, thank you so much for this, I needed the laughs XD that intro relates to my heart deeply, I really was so disappointed with P5A, I wanted to give the show a try since I still can't find enough time to play the game, and they give us that... thing. Come on guys, I was supposed to feel bad for Akechi's final but it was so "meh" :/ The only good thing it was to listen my boy Joker talk (and I was looking forward for the English dub because *sounding hot joker*) , and even in that they broke my heart because he barely can say a word ;^; 💔
