    It’s really amazing, within the span of about 50 years we went from having planes that had to dogfight within a mile of each other, now planes don’t even see each other and are hundreds of miles away and fighting. Unreal

    There is a story floating about of an F22 escorting a drone close to Iran. Earlier Iran had simply harassed one into submission after downing one months earlier. This time Iran had sent up a couple of its F4s to render it useless. The escorting 22 snuck up under one of the F4s to check its weapons load and then canopy rolled up aside it and the 22 pilot told the Iranians that they should really consider going home. They did. They had no clue that it was there.

    It's more likely that some F-35s would be deployed as well. They're cheaper, there's far more of them, and as far as sharing information across platforms, the F-35 is basically a super sonic AWACS itself. ESPECIALLY if there's a follow up air to ground attack, the F-35 is clearly the best option. The F-22 is a better air to air fighter, and would probably be deployed, but it's guaranteed that it would be paired with some F-35s.

      The raptor has the same radar sharing ability as the f35, they are both far weaker than the AWACS though, which is why they are still used. The best option here would be to have mixed fleets of raptors and lightnings where the lightings, escorted by the raptors, are doing the bomb drops while raptors take care of hostile fighters.

    • @sirenderwellesley6802
      @sirenderwellesley6802 2 года назад +2

      F-35 would most likely not be deployed first as they fly when air space has been captured. F-22s are sent out first to establish uncontested airspace, followed by F-35s with hard points to carry extra bombs. F-35s are not super capable as fighters, compared to the F-22.

    Pair the F-22 with the F35 and you have the ultimate air/ground attack combo. And the F35 can lock on with out alerting enemy fighters providing that data to F22 to fire without alerting them. The F35 can also provide radar jamming to even further widen the capability gap between the two countries. Not being as capable in dogfights, the F35 would excel in supporting the F22

    • @dutchgamerguy2446
      @dutchgamerguy2446 2 года назад +36

      The F-35 might even be better, it’s beats the F-22 in all categories except speed and maneuverability, it’s stealth is better, it carries more weapons, it’s cannon is better, it’s sensors are better (not sure but quite certain), in a long range dogfight the f-35 would win, in a short range dogfight the f-22 would (probably) win

    • @Zeezke99
      @Zeezke99 2 года назад +88

      @@dutchgamerguy2446 The F22 has a smaller radar cross section, it's stealth is better. The F22 is the considerably better dogfighter. The F22 can house 8 internal missiles (6 AMRAAM, 2 AIM), while the F35 only hold 6, (4 and 2 respectively).
      The F35 can hold more weapons in beast mode, however at that point it's no long all that stealthy. The F35 absolutely has better sensors, and is an all around amazing aircraft. It is very much a force multiplier. What the F22 falls short in (mainly the sensors), the F35 fixes that.

    Funny fact: Stealth planes have their own radars turned off 99% of operations times. If it is turned on, then it can be detected just like F16 or F15. They are spearhead and are operated via information from AWAX planes in their rear. Their rockets are also operated from AWAX too. Radar is turned on only in those cases, when air supremacy is already reached and SAMs have been eliminated

    the missile knows where it is at all times, it knows this because it knows where it isn't. by subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater) it obtains a difference, or deviation. the guidance sub system uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is, to a position where it isn't, arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. consequently, the position where it is, is now the position where it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. in the event that the position that it is, is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. if variation is considered to be a significant factor, it to may be corrected by the GEA, however, the missile must also know where it was. the missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. however, it is sure where it isn't (within reason), and it knows where it was. it now subtracts where it should be, from where it wasn't, or vise versa. and by differentiating this from the algebraic sub of where it shouldn't be, and where it was. it is able to obtain the deviation, and its variation. which is called "error".

    • @sovietpineapple7938
      @sovietpineapple7938 2 года назад

      @@LIVE4CBR Uh, it is most certainly a match. An RCS of ~.0001m^2 from most frontal angles is extraordinarily difficult just to detect without a massive radar installation. The S-400's primary search and track radar (92N6E), for example, has a detection range of ~250km against 4m^2 targets. If we assume an RCS of ~.0001m^2 (-40dBsm), it would only be able to detect an F-22 at roughly 17.7km away. Even if we bring the RCS up to .1m^2, that's still only a ~99km detection range.
      And this doesn't even account for jamming, which the F-22 can do very well since the APG-77v1 is one of the best AESAs in the world, along with stuff like the APG-81 and Captor-E. Any radar array powerful enough to detect an F-22 from any meaningful distance is likely stationary, and would be overwhelmed by standoff munitions before F-22s even come into play.

    2. 2:44
    I dont think you could evade an amraam just by turning 90 degrees, they are still at high altitude and the Amraams are far enough away that they would have to predict, but not follow the turn, a more likely manuever might be to go dive downwards to the deck to evade the missles

      Not really. The video was to show the superiority of F22, and that was shown. However there was also a story to show their capabilities and explain why they are superior, which would include other military weapons.

    The only thing I question is the F-22 squadron not using the f15s air to air missiles. The F-15's missles could and would be launched and directed by the F-22's via the integrated battlespace controlled at a tactical level by the F-22's obscenely powerful supercomputer.

    • @franzicoy
      @franzicoy 2 года назад

      The F-22 may not be THAT customizable. Besides, those kinds of missiles are ONLY used when air superiority is achieved.

    AWACS are not the name of that plane. It’s a E2d airborne command and control early airborne warning

    This plane should be produced in bulk over the f35s like keep some f35s due to the fact they help ground troops and air support planes to minimize friendly kills but I’d still rather have the f22s over fighter wise

      Dont worry the f22s are apparently f35s anyway as shwon in this vid so it doesnt make a difference

    The supercruise function (supersonic with no afterburner) is - and this could be very wrong - limited to Mach 1.6 on the F22.

    I like the touch of adding a wheel lug nuts wrench to the aircraft mechanic. For your information, we don't use this type of wrench in aircraft maintenance. I laughed when I saw it

    Plot Twist: S-400 down at some where near islands, watching them and laughing

    • @turkishtesticuletickler8910
      @turkishtesticuletickler8910 4 года назад

      @Evan Tchernine you couldn't be anymore wrong if you are talking about one s400 location with short range aa protection the short range aa might not be best for protecting s400 system if you consider new agm88 variant being tested has range of 230km and even the old can hit targets from 150km, short range aa defense better against tomahawk missile if this was used against s400 system it could be detected and defended against, however high altitude firing of agm88 can easily destroy a location of s400.

    • @turkishtesticuletickler8910
      @turkishtesticuletickler8910 4 года назад

      @Evan Tchernine you say there are lot of things but dont name an single "counter" i am starting to believe you are clueless when it comes to discussing air defense. while the s400 is one of my favorite systems you have to realize the threat an anti radiation missile at high altitude pose to this system. the only counter i can think of that you might be meaning is having multiple systems but even then package of multiple aircraft with anti radiation missile still pose risk to s400 or have them move around because known location will be targeted as a priority.

    • @turkishtesticuletickler8910
      @turkishtesticuletickler8910 4 года назад

      @Evan Tchernine you and i both know this so i do not see why you make this statement. i did not ask you anything about f35 and f22 i asked you how can s400 counter agm88 and other anti radiation missiles. s400 is only going to see f22 or f35 distance under 150km, aesa radar on the f35 apg81 can find a radar at 320km. before aircraft even arrive at this location the s400 can be targeted with high altitude firing of agm88 missile or like they have spoken in this video glide bomb gbu53. my country bought s400 and it is something i think is amazing equipment in modern war fighting but there is a counter for everything like you are trying to say even for this system but you have not explained.

    • @ChucksSEADnDEAD
      @ChucksSEADnDEAD 4 года назад

      @Evan Tchernine the issue is that every S400 battery will be saturated with HARM missiles, glide bombs, decoy drones, cruise missiles, EW aircraft jamming the radars, etc and at one point the defenses will be overwhelmed and start letting missiles and bombs through.
