Tank synergies are the thing that made me fall in love with this game. I'm so glad they're back. I said this before, but this 6v6 test is literally what got me back into the game after 2+ years.
I’m 6v6. With you brother but how do you watch 2 tanks lol my comment is because I don’t hate 5v5 either and usually we are quite because we like overwatch either way but I’m curious because your comment/opinion came from a viewership pov
I kept playing tank when overwatch 2 came out until season 8 I think. I had a match where they slept me, then shattered, and then hacked, I was on DVa, and I felt hopeless, useless, all the CC on me, just a punching bag. Oh and also was the Mauga meta season, so it was feeling like hell to play tank, and I abandoned the role entirely until now, and I've been so happy. I even love to play the off-tank role and protect my main tank
The more I think about how many casual players hated role queue, and then about how people are enjoying open queue in the Jeff shooter, I wonder if min1 max 3 might actually be a really good solution for the game. It gives structure to the game yet gives more freedom to players. A lot of people I know that left OW years ago said it all went downhill when role queue was implemented. Maybe this is genuinely a good answer to that. It might actually end up being the most fun OW has been since before role queue was added.
The queue times and having more flexibility is good but then you realize if you want to win you'll be flexing instead of playing what you want most games
@@AnitaHanjaabFR IMO that's fine the the hero pool in OW now. And it's fine with the launch hero pool of MR. Because there's enough interesting tanks and support heroes that you are likely to enjoy 1 or 2 of them. I firmly believe there will be far less 5-6dps games if all roles are even in hero choices.
@@Deusagangl, the tank and support heroes in rivals are kinda boring to play only the dps are fun to me (that is coming from someone that never plays dps in OW)
The overwatch that everyone loved and that everyone was nostalgic about is when role queue was implemented. It is better to actually play what you want to play. Min 1 max 3 Will only result in a variant of GOATS. We'll have 3 tanks, 2 sups, one DPS, and the DPS will most likely be a venture, reaper, Mei, or tracer to have sustain as well
@Aon_Duinehhh doubt it. Goats only worked because of high sustain AOE healing, specifically cuz of brig in her busted state. Without brig being OP, and without a third healer, goats falls apart as a concept as there isn't enough sustain for the high health pools. Goats was a balancing issue, not a format issue.
Playing it again has felt infinitely better already than the whole time of OW2. I get they were trying to sort things out and I can't fault them at all, but 6v6 just feels the best. I play tank sometimes but have been sticking to dps the most. It feels so good having longer fights but not feeling anymore like tank is the win or lose of the team. My games with friends has felt like everyone contributing instead of it just being "keep tank alive and we win"
I like how no matter how good or bad you're playing at what rank, if the 2 tanks are kinda putting in work, without a doubt you're getting Bastions and Reapers everywhere
Love having 6v6 back honestly. However, is it just me or are people WAY more toxic in 6v6 chat? I had 5 games in a row where people were being toxic to me and each other
I've had the opposite, although I'm probably higher than most people,I guess there's just the unspoken rule of not being toxic among mos people because they really want people to keep playing this
As a mercy/support main I'm really enjoying this mode unless some cringe lord only targets me, then it becomes annoying. I feel like they could crank up the healing of supps cuz keeping two tanks alive is sometimes challenging but it's also what makes it fun.
That comment on queue times is pretty wrong for my games. OCE. It is 3 min tank, 2 min dps, 8-10 min support on my end. There's far MORE supports queueing 6 v 6 then the other roles in OCE.
it’s pretty dependent on what your mmr is and even when you play from what i’ve seen. i’ve seen support queues as low as 2 minutes, but in my experience you’re right that it generally tends to be the longest queue
To me Rivals feels like crap. It feels like ranged has a huge advantage over melee to the point where Cap and a few other characters are pretty much punished for playing how they are designed.
Just hearing 6v6 is giving me nightmare flashbacks of tanks standing in chokes getting healbotted for 5 minutes straight by a support you can never get to
Lot of (damage) players jumped to Apex during 6v6 because of this. Once you hit diamond it becomes too big of a problem to ignore. It was still a problem for the masses too. Choke poking without any activity for entire rounds was fun for other people (I'm told) but it's the only and entire reason 2CP was the most hated game mode. The inverse of choke poke is not being able to fit 6 people through the hard choke without losing a guy or 3 that didn't understand the assignment (space creation) and subsequent flaming at random teammates. I think mobility creep since OW1 can actually help circumvent a lot of problems that happened around GOATS deathballs and Bunker comps. Tankfist, JQ, and Hazard bring a lot more activity to 6v6 rather than getting deadlocked in a choke by providing more synergies with mobility/aggression comps. We shall see. I never asked for 5v5 but liked the change outside of one huge flaw: the solo tank not getting compensating changes for the format, even to this day. I think Tankfist (outside of numerous fixes needed and his terrible ultimate) was the only one that felt relatively modernized after they buffed survivability on Seismic Slam. Hoping they can figure the format out because the lack of commitment to any one is really good at keeping me away from the game.
I hate those people who constantly compare 2 games especially if they're from the same company and different genres of game. I constantly see videos comparing Overwatch to TF2/ Rivals or Genshin Impact to wuthering waves/Honkai: Star Rail.
Since the original tanks were never fully converted to fit 5v5 format, I suspect these tanks that were originally concepted for 6v6 never really escaped this bias.
@SynnarSun Hazard is probably the only one that was designed from the ground up fo 5v5, all of the other tanks would have been in at least concept stage back when it was still supposed to be 6v6. There is no way you can see Mauga's kit and think that he was intended to be a solo tank.
the 6v6 looks like its pretty good... the fights aren't stomps or pickoff wins, now i hope they stop going for hyper mobile champs so my old ass can keep up without having to play flicker sniper
I hate 6v6 so much.. its so messy n you never know where the hell your tank went off to, along fights that last an unnecessarily amount of time because of the double tank. This is mainly only good for tank players.
Like I'm absolutely obsessed with overwatch2 and play it everyday but since my partner wants to play more 6v6 I've been trying to avoid queueing it so badly 😂
I thonk support players are good with 6v6. But dps players a lot of them are gonna be overwhelmed. Also if you are playing mauga in 6v6 stop. Hes terrible. Like unplayably bad
Mauga might be playable (even good?) in 6v6 if he could burn things like barriers, like other heroes with flame abilities can. Not get overhealth from them, just do the extra damage so you can burn through certain defenses faster, since they are such a big problem for him currently.
I feel like this tank comp should be called Punk Rock
thats so fire
or Punker Queen
Well done sir
Alternatives are Trash and Cash, or just: Edgy
That would be Hazard Sigma

I said this before, but this 6v6 test is literally what got me back into the game after 2+ years.
Totally agree. Ive had more fun playing 6v6 than I have since the ow2 released
Agreed probably put in 20 total hours over the last two years. I’ve already put in 10 hours in 2 days now that 6v6 is back
I know it's not how it works but I hope they somehow make this the main mode within a season
Tank synergies. This is gonna be awesomeness.
maybe i have bias, but i find 6v6 more enjoyable to watch as well. more going on and more interesting. and who doesnt miss the ol Emongg Flats duo

I still play OW2 but I did stop maining tank once 5v5 hit.
Tank is fun again in this test mode! I've been enjoying it greatly. Now I just wish they'd bring it live along with comp.
I NEED to see that Volskaya match
I'm hoping it got uploaded as a highlight at some point, haven't found it tho
6v6 is SO much more fun! I’m playing tank again and loving it!

two more people that can potentially be toxic per match

3:46 imagine being 2 top 500 tank mains wondering why they have a long queue... 😂
The thumbnail 😂😂😂
Plz play this man i wanna see flats and emong on dope comps again dude 😭
i don't think emongg uses his mei ice wall to break the team in half enough including separate tank and healers

for me its even in all roles in america server. I play all roles and get pretry evenly distributed games.
Hazard JQ is amazing, super fun :D
To me Rivals feels like crap. It feels like ranged has a huge advantage over melee to the point where Cap and a few other characters are pretty much punished for playing how they are designed.
Iron fist and black panther
Rivals dps are great, but the tanks are so unfun to play as.
Rivals nothing happens until ults are used, still no balance changes until next season as well and the game overall feels worse than ow
i feel like sometimes people are a little too either or (rivals has to be either trash or amazing), i can understand if that’s how you feel tho
@@AnitaHanjaabFR absolutely the urge to unistall is huge but my partner likes it
The thumbnail made laugh inside
It looks fun tho!
Thanks for the video!
My biggest complaint on tank rn is that hog heal on an 8 second cd doesn't work with the dps antiheal.
Yes some ow2 changes should have been left alone. Like that and double fire strike. Either that or steering for reins charge cuz he feels so sluggish
@@tresmith9143 Alternatively the DPS passive could've been dialled back, but it's how it is because of Mauga, Hog and nade so it's a delicate balance.
@ I see what you’re saying and agree. It’s going to take a lot of fine tuning and we’ll have to be very patient if they go in this direction
respectfully, fuck the effort of trying it. blizz needs to bring 6v6 back permanently to replace 5v5 or else
I really hope not, many of us prefer 5v5
That's like saying no offense but you suck. They're trying to figure out the best way to bring it back
“Or else” what?
And why deny the players the option of 5v5 anyway?
Hazard Flats is scary
Just hearing 6v6 is giving me nightmare flashbacks of tanks standing in chokes getting healbotted for 5 minutes straight by a support you can never get to
Never once had this problem. Not a single game.
they did say that they actively balanced this trial around lower sustain because those were usually the most frustrating metas

same thing happened at OWs launch from TF2, people like to bitch to bitch
I think Queen was designed for 5v5, rammatra maybe too.
Since the original tanks were never fully converted to fit 5v5 format, I suspect these tanks that were originally concepted for 6v6 never really escaped this bias.
New tanks were 100% made specifically for 5v5

6v6 is way more funn in my opinion
i only plaed ow2 but damn i wouldnt be bad if they brought back 6v6. This just feels like the real overwatch for me.
The problem is there are probably no tank players left in 5v5 now
The clickbait looks like Bull&Skull from power rangers
i really wish they would add an unranked mode
i think they got rid of rq mh and now open q mh is in quickplay

Make it fun for all 7 Tank players. Yep. OW2 destroyed a playerbase. Noice.
