A couple of months ago I bought an Auxbeam LED headlight bulbs with a canbus, similar to this product. The light output was good, it was nice and bright. The eye socket of my headlights were aimed at a appropriate level just so I won't blind anyone on the road. I recently brought in my car for inspection since it was due. The inspector in my state (MA) said that any light bulb with a ballast or canbus is not street legal. I was told it "it can blind on-coming traffic". I been driving around with them with no issues or complaints from other drivers. Even when I was behind cop cars, I was not even pulled over because it was said to be "too bright". I'm not sure whether that inspector just hates these lights or something else. I can tell he seems to be against mods of any sorts. I have a cold intake installed and he seem disgusted by that as well. Although it was designed to be legal for use. I had to have the light changed out back to the oem ones (very disappointed), and then I was able to pass inspection. Prior to owning LED lights, I used to use HID ones with a ballast and I passed at another inspection center. Like I said, maybe it was just that one I went to recently that didn't like mods at all.
This doesn't make any sense. You shouldn't have been denied inspection. I would take it to a different place. LED/HIDs in Projector housings are not blinding whatsoever, period.
Federal law says aftermarket retrofit kits like these are for off-road use only. Your inspector was correct.
@@BrandonForster after a long time of research, i went for a phillips bulb and it has a nice white light as opposed to the yellow one. No need for HID or LEDs. Yep modifications to the lights are illegal. My desire at the time was just to get white lights over the yellowish oem ones. Couldn't find one at the time. Only hid and led offered them. Well, u live and learn.
What is the beam pattern? It really doesn't matter how bright it is if the beam pattern is bad. A video showing the beam pattern of the halogen then the LED would really be useful...
They are used as high beams so beam pattern won't matter. You aren't supposed to drive with your high beams anyways
Can you make a video for low beam
I will have to plan something out for this. The car belongs to a friend so will need to see. But it will be interesting to see how the LED performs behind the projector lens.

How do U make sure it does not affect the radio transmission, I tried LED bulbs to my 2017 Accord but the noise affected the radio channels

Were the 9005s in your demo at full brightness (normal High beam) or at partial brightness used by many vehicles as Daytime Running Light (DRL)?
Full brightness. The LED strip on the bottom of the headlight are the DRLs.
This CRV does not use the hi beam for DRL, so the high beams were turned on at full brightness.

What was wrong with the lights that came on whatever trim CR-V you have? Why did you change them out? I am trying to figure out whether Touring's LEDs are really better than whatever comes on the lesser trims.
Have you seen any issues with the AUTO High Beam function in your CR-V? Does it work the same as before your LED high beam upgrade?

Try to push with little extra pressure inside with anticlock wise rotation.

No you can't unless you heavily modify the wiring.

Bought these and 6 months time it started turning blue then stopped worked on one side..
