Thank you for finally acknowledging that this line is for the light spectrum. It's so irritating that its so coveted by other influencers and can't show up on my face or looks white. I appreciate your guts. Keep the truth coming.
Candace Moriyama it’s only the truth and every brand should be light and dark inclusive at this point. Every skin colour inclusive. It’s nearly 2020 for damn’s sake. I’m white but I’d be so disappointed in most brands if I were dark skinned, they seriously need to get their shit together. All women of all races love makeup and if we can’t be all inclusive why bother making makeup for only minorities? I’m glad she mentioned this too. We love an outspoken woman!
wow you have so much new makeup you’ve been reviewing it’s so interesting to watch, would you ever do a collection video of all your makeup? or maybe monthly favorites?
I know others are disappointed in the face palette but this is first hourglass face palette I can use at all on my very fair, cool skin. Last year's palette everything was far too dark and warm for me. I wish they'd release a fair-light and medium-deep version of each face palette so that more people can enjoy them.
kateri17 absolutely! You can never make a palette that’s going to work for every skin tone, the only way is to release at least 2 different palettes, I’m excited for this palettes, I think is going to work really well for my skin tone.
Does dim light work for you? I’m light/fair and it’s kinda the only shade I’m a little unsure about. I definitely think hourglass should release 2 or 3 of these palettes at a time that are suited to different skin tones. A light, medium and deep palette would be great!
Wow, your skin looks absolutely radiant - those blushes 😍 I have last year's palette and agree it is far more diverse. I really wish hourglass would get with the times and just release more varied or multiple palettes, it's so off-putting. Feels like they went one step forward, two steps back.
The blush and the scattered lights are screaming to me. So so pretty. I’m glad you did this review you are honest and true !!! Love that. I can’t see spending $80 for just 3 new shades. The rest are older. That’s me tho. You are the cutest
I've seen that they will be releasing a Ghost Unlocked Palette, which will have the same shades as last year's Unlocked Palette. This way, all of those people who missed out last year, and those who wanted backups will be able to get it! They definitely need to create palettes for darker skin tones. It's ridiculous at this point they so many people get left out!
I got the 6 pan palette and it’s really pretty. Like last year’s Ambient Unlocked, I can do my whole face and my eyes with just that palette in a pinch. Perfect for the gym or running errands. But with an elegant finish. I mix the two blushes. Also I’m fine with the palette colors because I think these brands should make a specific palette for deeper skin tones. One palette doesn’t work for everyone and I won’t buy any palette in which I can only use half the shades. Thanks for demonstrating the lipsticks. Hadn’t seen those yet. Good video! 💚
I actually love the larger palatte this year. Maybe because it is cooler in tone than orevious releases and if course, I have light skin. I really do think that Hourglass beed to release palattes that are geard towards medium/rich skin tones. But for my skin, bith palattes this year are beautiful. I didn't pick up anything else from the holiday collection.💙
have been subscribed since 4k subs, so proud of you! You always have the best videos! I just ordered the ghost palette I'm so excited as I missed out last year!
Great review of the collection! I love that you give your honest opinion on Palette & blush quad. I bought both & happy with them because I’m an Hourglass fan but I agree with you on the blush quad they could have used a bronzer or something different.
Thanks so much for your review and try on! It looks beautiful on you. I’m on the fence about the face pallet. I’m fair complected and I think the color in this pallet would work great on me. Sometimes I have problems finding foundations with a shade light enough for me. Plus I’ve never tried Hourglass. $80 for a face pallet is high though, thus my dilemma! 😅😅Love your channel! 💚💙💚💙💚💙💚
If I'm being honest I'm never going to spend $80 on a face pallete made for fair light medium and dark because you'll never be able to use all the shades. There needs to be more than one pallete light/medium medium tan/dark. I have the ghost pallete and I'm obsessed with it.
I've never tried Hourglass powders, but the blush quad has been speaking to me and I was very interested in your thoughts. I have nothing considered luxury, but this and the new rose quad and highlights from Pat McGrath have me very interested!
GORGEOUSNESS. Love the look. Its so hard to keep up with the holiday collections so i have to pick wisely, lol. I only own two products from hourglass and thats the ambient light face palette with the 3 powders and one blush. On another note i did just purchased the new rose quad from pat website and her highlighter palette.
I'm not buying any face products from Hourglass till they make some Ambient lighting powders, bronzers and blush for dark skin...It's 2019 man, they need to do better!!!
So I bought the face palette buttttt does anyone else think the frosted plastic looks cheap?!🤷♀️Like it costs less to make since they used plastic but charged us the same price as last year lol.
I have to disagree. I’m not a fan of the “let’s make ONE palette appeal to everybody” situation. This is a situation that also often happens with eyeshadow palettes, where companies decide to put shades that appeal to cool toned lovers and shades that appeal to warm toned lovers IN ONE PALETTE. And what happens is that I’ll only use half of it.... or if it’s “too expensive” (if I only use 1/2)... I will just pass on it. I’d prefer if companies would put out “2 or 3” different palettes, allowing for palettes to fully appeal to different needs. (Ex: 1 blush/bronzer/highlighter palette for light skin tones, 1 for medium and 1 for darker... ) I’d also wished that companies would offer a personalized bundle.... allowing customers to pick the colors. Again, this makes it more appealing for folks that have preferences and won’t blow money on products that may only partially appeal to them.
It's a white girl collection ! Finally I get what I was waiting for. They have done enough for deeper skin tones , it's the lighter complexion people they finally target. I'm all about being inclusive but that doesn't mean they should completely forget lighter skins.
Are you kidding me?! Up till now Hourglass has NOT catered to dark skin...Maybe what you should say is that they've been catering to medium skin tones...They haven't done squat for dark skin!
I thought they were all from medium to dark skins. But I'm glad atleast they are expanding . This collection is clearly for white skins .hopefully they will create one for deeper skin tones next year. No offence .
@@ra.j7210 No offense taken👍🏾 It's just that they haven't put out anything that actual dark skinned people can use... The darkest their products show up on is maybe a MAC NC40 and even then some of the products fail even for that medium tanned skin tone😐
@@j4lyphe1 looking at this collection I am hopeful they will cater to all skin tones. I personally have never been able to use a single collection they have put out there till now untill this.
@@ra.j7210I'm glad that this collection worked for you🙂. What all of these companies need to do is when they make face palettes like this, they need to release at least 3 versions of the palette. One for light skin, one for medium skin and one for dark skin that is actually pigmented enough to show up on dark skin without looking ashy... I think they'd still make a lot of money and actually have people love the product instead of not buying it period or trying to make the product work for them... We the consumer need options.

@@veronicavargas6895 so true, you would think this would be obvious to a cosmetics company. I mean really 😏

Loving how the molten eyeshadow and lipstick looks on you! This is convincing me to buy the eyeshadow. Already bought the blush quad!

I agree, they have taken a step back this year. The palette is pretty but it's hard to understand the choices they made 👍🏻
Beautiful palettes I hope I can get them during the Sephora sale for next month, this will be my purchase of Hourglass.
Thank you so much for this video! My sister is gifting me with the blush quad for Christmas! I can't wait to try it! 🦋🧡🦋
I got the one from last year and haven't made a dent! lol I use the bronzer every single day. Love the lipstick on you!
Oh nReally?🙀I used up the bronzer, the two face powders and almost the whole highlighter😁
kittysonne I’m so fair that I only use a little or it looks bad on me. Haha. But I love it!
sandy5791 ah ok😄

Fantastic review Morgan!!!! ❤️
the colors look so beautiful on you 💕also, you are so pretty kind of remind me of Ellen Page
I think they’re re-releasing the Unlocked palette later this month. There were sneak peeks online but they’ve been pulled but it’s been confirmed.
Hey :) how did you find out it's this month? I've seen pictures and no one answers me when I ask hourglass 😕😂
Im buying the face palette, this is the first time I'm dipping into their holiday collection.
Hi Morgan, Thank you for such a great review! Which Palette do you like better last years Holiday Palette Volume 4 or this years Ghost Palette?

Do you think having the PML QUADS is better than these loose individual eye shadows?

Can you show us what your last year palettes were
Do you like "Ray"? I have "Reflect" and I really like it! I don't know if I should get Ray too 🤔
Elina Ray is my absolute favorite shade out of all of them! It’s so gorgeous and gives you that wet lid look but w some sultry smoke too 😍
TFNY Thank you!

Well 99% of bronzers are way to dark** Question so is this Morgan a professional make up artist, or has any educational background with cosmetics ??
