Good choice of actor to play young Hammond, he does resemble the older Hammond and gives an excellent portrayal of his ways and manner of speaking.
Google talks about his great performance as a younger Hammond, but doesn't talk about the more than passing resemblance to Don S. Davis.
I was an AF Security Policeman in 69. At least they got the uniforms right. Unlike The Pilot.

Seasons 1 through 5 were the best. After that...
I love every season but yer, I usually get to Stargate Universe and start to think about how good the early seasons were when it was grounded on Earth and they knew nothing about the galaxy around them... probably why I went through a long period of just rewatching the entire chronology on a loop.
@@tjwparso In my opinion, Season 6 is still good and Jonas isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. That said, whenever I fully revisit this series, getting invested into Season 7 and beyond becomes progressively more of a chore. Earth-based episodes (specifically, those episodes primarily set off base) hold little appeal for me, space battles are so very far from what the show is/was about (i.e., exploration) and Daniel Jackson morphing into Jack O'Neill 2.0 in order to fill his shoes felt wrong. Also, I wasn't keen on both the Ori (in general) and how the Ancients were turned into major jerks.
Honestly I like Jonah as well, he fits in easily even though (probably because he's been in it before) he's only been in one episode... glad he got to come back after he left... I don't really like Landry (until he gets old and dies in Unending)... yer, I'm not big on the space battles but I don't mind them... Universe is great for exploration, wish they would carry on the story... I'm not big on the Ori but I enjoy them just for the expansion we get on the Alteran origin and how they split off and ran away etc. ...There's good and bad in everything but Stargate is the absolute BEST when it comes to expanding and building upon things that you've seen in past episodes, they pepper little details in and just keep returning to them and giving you more whilst keeping it relatively believable, not ruining it or whatvever... it's one of the most out there shows that you can actually imagine being real... like the WormholeExtreme show being greenlit so they can point to it if anything gets leaked to the public, I would not be surprised if Stargate was that show and the military is using a real life stargate network haha... I get why you like the older stuff but I can't help but like it all.
