Biomanufacturing Process Technician

Biomanufacturing process technicians are on the front lines of biotechnology and perform daily manufacturing operations in biomedical, biopharmaceutical and bioindustrial settings. California’s biotechnology industry is made up of over 6,500 businesses. In the next five years, it is projected that there will be nearly 1,200 job openings for engineering technicians in California, and some of these jobs will be for biomanufacturing process technicians. With more than 8,000 people currently working as engineering technicians, this is a growing occupation that has a wide range of opportunities in many different industries, including biotech.
