- Massive thanks to completedv for sending me a copy!
Released on the 1973 Rugby League Club Songs album by The Scrum. This was before they adopted the 'Bulldogs' nickname and were simply known as the Berries. I've used the Bulldogs logo for the video as I couldn't find the old version. - Спорт
The berries logo in 1973 is the Canterbury bankstown cb crest, below the bulldog & 1/2 way between the year 1935.
The berries logo is the cb written in blue + the shielded background is white.
That's the song they used until 11 years later.
Same tune as Hawthorn, Central Districts, Box Hill, Prospect, West Adelaide Bloods and many other football and rugby clubs.
The original song is Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Same intro as Western Bulldogs and Port Magpies, too
Go the great CB, aka the Bulldogs!
This sounds like the guy who sings the AFL theme songs
The AFL songs were sung by the Fable Singers and these songs were sung by The Scrum. They both sound very similar though. These were from 1973 and the AFL ones from 1972, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of inspiration (or copying in the case of Penrith)
Are you uploading all of the old club songs from that 1973 album?
Yeah, some of them are already on RUclips, but these ones are higher quality and one or two have missing intros/outros
