I think rocket racing is legit the most fun game on fortnite. It's just like mario kart without the weapons. I just started playing fortnite and have done 300 races and only came in 2nd place one time even from my very first race. This shit is so addicting especially when you're good. And as a 30 year old who never was good and doesn't like video games, this is a really fun game.
I mean these shortcuts and strategies are quite simple if you do them repetitively. I agree with many others that RR is way too noob friendly. However, this is coming from a Trackmania player, so I wouldn't know how it feels for someone who has little to no racing experience.
The tips: 1) slipstreaming - gettingBEHIND PLAYER for boost 2) Drift hold - to still drift while jump jus HOLD IT DOWN 3) Secret control for LONGER FLIGHT TIME 4) Better drift- for your drift around corners to be sharp enough jus PRESS DRIFT AGAIN to make it sharper 5) Drift cancel - if you want to get that boost from your drift quickly just TAP DRIFT THE OTHER WAY, giving the boost immediately 6) Downflips - if you're pretty high up in pretty and want to get down faster to drive faster, you have to do a DOWNWARDS FLIP. Now for "dirty" tips: 7) Blocking charges - you get catapulted if the PLAYER BEHIND IS BOOSTING and you are able to steer so that you are always in FRONT OF THEM. And finally 8) Hold boosts - That when you reach the final lap, you let your boost bar fill up throughout the final lap until you reach the end, which use quickly use all of them so then you can overtake players and have VICTORY!!
Ik it's a hella lot, but the reason why I wrote this down Is to practically summarize his tips&ticks so that me and other people are able to remember it more quickly
Ive played against u so many times, like 3 or 4 times and i am also in elite rank, in terms of whos won the most i have a lead by 1 or 2 races, ggs tho muselk.

Rocket Racing sucks. Epic games took Rocket League trading, brought Rocket League to Fortnite as a racing game, and they don’t allow you to have your items from Rocket League as in decals, boost, trails and wheels. they also allow very few cars to race. Epic Games wants you to restart and spend all your money on their “new” stuff. They recently put in a few new things as in 2 trails and a set of wheels, in my opinion they aren't the best, but i do own them in Rocket League so why don't I have access to them? Fortnite is all about making children spend their parents cash, Their money prices are very wack compared to other games.

I think the issue is that you have to play ranked for way to long to get to the interesting tracks that many lose interest.
