scratches at level 4 with deep grooves at level 5
I love how the air intake is streamlined with the body, can’t wait to see it flying
I can't believe how little cooling aperture they have on that.
@@mikejackson9585 I thought the same thing but when you consider the stream lined nose cone, you may have more air flowing into the cooling duct since there is less turbulence. They can still always enlarge it later if need be.
@@rotaryperfection I'm sure they calculated the needs, just surprised to see that little.
@@mikejackson9585 I know what you mean. Too me I see the potential for even more air to enter that opening because of possible less turbulence and smoother transition. The nose cone to body design seems very flow efficient. When testing something like this, I think it's better to start off smaller and increase as needed. If you start off to large, then you'll never know if small would have worked as you'll have unnecessarily add drag and reduce economy. They must be using some really trick air flow software so we'll see soon enough.
@@mikejackson9585 I saw a video on 'gregs airplanes and automobiles' and he mentioned that airplanes usually have far smaller air intakes for the same displacement engine compared to cars and the reason was that airplanes get 'ram' air from their high speed. He mentioned that most people would find the air intakes on planes 'looked' too small because they are used to car intake sizes which are much bigger for the engine size and horse power.
This is truly exciting. The airplane really looks great, standing proud on its gear. Great job, Guys. Not ashamed to admit I watched twice at normal speed, and twice again in slowmo.
