The comment of the lady talking about her memories, and how these people lived happily and friendly, was heartwarming to hear. I am a Sinhalese, and even though I am not very familiar with Jaffna, I remember one of my uncles saying that when he was working in Jaffna before the conflict, Tamil people were very kind to him and honest. He didn't understand why this war began, etc. And when I was watching this video, the feeling that I felt was like one of kinship and belonging. I think what some divisive people don't understand or people like politicians don't want people to understand is that diversity is the beauty; it's what makes us keep going and it is what bonds us together, so we must respect and accept it. Sheneller, thank you for making this video and you are making a precious and positive impact on society. Keep it up.♥

I'm from Kerala and I have been dreaming about visiting Sri Lanka so long to see it's natural beauty, Sinhalese Buddhist traditions and the Tamil Hindu temples and culture. Now the Nallur temple and festival have added another reason to it. Tamil Nadu is the place where you can see the most number of huge temples of cultural, historical significance built by chola, pandya and other notable rulers. I'm very happy to see the thriving Tamil culture in Jaffna and Sri Lanka. This harmonious coexistence of Sinhala and Tamil cultures is the best part of Sri Lanka which will make it one of the beautiful places to visit. Thank you Shenelle for the amazing video on Nallur temple festival. Keep giving us more from beautiful Sri Lanka ❤

We had a pooja day during the Nallur festival and I can remember that I went into a special place where the statue is with my father. It was amazing. As we are in Australia now and my father has passed away this pooja has been handed down to me but unfortunately I am not able to attend. That celebration is now done by the priest on behalf of my family. Thanks for showing this festival. Great memories.

Saivanism is sadly an overlooked cultural link that both Sinhalese and Tamils can celebrate together. Speaking of unparalleled admiration Sinhalese have for saivanism, the latest blockbuster here in Sri Lanka is based on the life story of murugan in Kataragama.( movie name : Kadira Divyaraja).

This is " MY SRI LANKA 🇱🇰" how i remembered and wants it to be... sinhalese tamils Muslims etc...hindu Buddhist Christian Muslims etc all living side by side loving and respecting each other.
Matale AMMAN TEMPLE " chariot festival " was something i would never 4get. How we all were waiting for that special day....we went to amma temple 🛕 all the time.. for us Buddhist...it was පත්තිනි අමිමා දේවාලය. Tamils called it muththumari amman.... it was it is and will all ways be a place of worship for all of us.
I LOVE SRILANKA and miss my beautiful country and its people... living in canada and now europe for more than 40 years....each and every day i have started to miss my MOTHERS LAND more and more...❤🙏

Such a small country we have much deviated cultural spectrum. Why I like your videos, every video you have something special and inspiring. Thank you Sheneller
