Michael actually did hurt himself while dancing, on numerous occasions, but in this specifically. The director Joe Dytka (who did The Way You Make Me Feel) said towards the end of the video there was supposed to this huge storm, which is why at the start there's wind, the storm was supposed to progressively build throughout the performance. But Michael Injured his knees and stuff from slamming on the ground so he was unable or didn't want to film anymore so they just scrapped the storm idea
Here I am, once again, with my comment about Diana Ross lol So as others have mentioned, Michael did say this song was about groupies, which absolutely makes sense. The constant temptation while touring would be really hard on any relationship, or any person. So I accept that storyline and it works. However, lol... As always, I strongly think this song is actually about Diana Ross. Firstly, the name. He was in love with Diana for years and was heartbroken around the time he was writing this. Imagine writing a song about groupies and/or prostitutes and naming it after the woman who just broke your heart and NOT having it be about her. I mean, c'mon. But more importantly, I presume that this song is about Michael's perception of Diana, feeling used by her, finding her manipulative, etc. In fact, I think the storyline of this song aligns with the storyline of Leave Me Alone (lyrically... the short film is its own thing). In DD I see Michael so frustrated by this woman who he is trying to resist, trying to get away from, who he knows is bad for him, but who he gives into even when he has a "baby at home who's probably worried tonight." That's why I think he cries at different points. That's where I think the passion and rage comes from. It's not just resisting hot sex from a groupie. It's resisting a woman who relentlessly uses men, and who has used him before.

In this song you can see that Michael vocals showcase his versality as he adapts his singing style to the rock genre (in "Beat It" too but in this one more). This song talks about groupies (basically yes, they are basically prostitutes lol), more specifically it's about a seductive and manipulative girl called Diana (not the princess, fun fact is this was her favorite song haha) who is persuing Michael's attention. It addresses themes of fame, obsession, and the negative impact of fame on personal relationships. The guitar solo is performed by Steve Stevens. About the video, this is not a real concert (I actually dont remember if its a combination of multiple concerts from the Bad Tour but I don't think so). There are a whole lot of songs of his that could be about her, but this one bearing the name Diana is definitely on the list of probable ones. The guitarist is Steve Stevens who was also Billy Idols guitarist. The director Joe Dytka (who did The Way You Make Me Feel) said towards the end of the video there was supposed to this huge storm, which is why at the start there's wind, the storm was supposed to progressively build throughout the performance. But Michael Injured his knees and stuff from slamming on the ground so he was unable or didn't want to film anymore so they just scrapped the storm idea

So as others have mentioned, Michael did say this song was about groupies, which absolutely makes sense. The constant temptation while touring would be really hard on any relationship, or any person. So I accept that storyline and it works.

As always, I strongly think this song is actually about Diana Ross. Firstly, the name. He was in love with Diana for years and was heartbroken around the time he was writing this. Imagine writing a song about groupies and/or prostitutes and naming it after the woman who just broke your heart and NOT having it be about her. I mean, c'mon. But more importantly, I presume that this song is about Michael's perception of Diana, feeling used by her, finding her manipulative, etc. In fact, I think the storyline of this song aligns with the storyline of Leave Me Alone (lyrically... the short film is its own thing). In DD I see Michael so frustrated by this woman who he is trying to resist, trying to get away from, who he knows is bad for him, but who he gives into even when he has a "baby at home who's probably worried tonight." That's why I think he cries at different points. That's where I think the passion and rage comes from. It's not just resisting hot sex from a groupie. It's resisting a woman who relentlessly uses men, and who has used him before.

This is one of my absolute favorites from Michael! It was written and composed by him and obviously reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In this song you can see that Michael vocals showcase his versality as he adapts his singing style to the rock genre (in "Beat It" too but in this one more).
This song talks about groupies (basically yes, they are basically prostitutes lol), more specifically it's about a seductive and manipulative girl called Diana (not the princess, fun fact is this was her favorite song haha) who is persuing Michael's attention. It addresses themes of fame, obsession, and the negative impact of fame on personal relationships. The guitar solo is performed by Steve Stevens.
About the video, this is not a real concert (I actually dont remember if its a combination of multiple concerts from the Bad Tour but I don't think so). It was directed by Joe Pytka, the same as "The Way You Make Me Feel". This is a taste of what Michael's concerts will be like.

The song is officially a general song about a groupie. Fan theory is that he wrote it with Diana Ross in mind an changed it to a groupie song later.
He's on record saying he loved Diana Ross and thought he was with her and saying he wanted to marry her and that it took him years "a hell of a long time" to get over her. There are a whole lot of songs of his that could be about her, but this one bearing the name Diana is definitely on the list of probable ones.
The guitarist is Steve Stevens who was also Billy Idols guitarist.
I believe the sillouetted woman playing "Diana" is Sheryl Crow who was a back up singer on the Bad tour and sang Siedah Garrett's parts in "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" live.

When you do man in the mirror it's imperative that is the moonwalker version. It's generally agreed it's by far the best version.
There's no subtitles on that version though and the lyrics are very important in that song.

2) i prefer if he skip the victory tour even thriller songs as there are some similarities in the performances between victory tour and the bad tour and of course bad is better version so i have 2 plans:
