I’ve personally been using this mouse for 4 years and I’ve definitely gotten my $12 out of it. I personally play 20-40 hours a week and can tell you that the texture on the top is noticeable, but not irritating. I’ve never noticed a difference in the sensor when playing on friends setups who own steelseries or razor mice, but I will agree on the weight distribution. The weight sits all in your palm and if you’re someone who plays on a low sensitivity or dpi, it may have a different feeling. The highlighter part got me to crack up good job nick
I have that mouse, and I love it, it’s never failed on tracking my mouse pad in a situation where normal or other mice in the past have let me down, I love it would recommend to anyone with a budget or without that will treat u perfectly
I've had two gaming mice from Redragon so far. The first one was an M605 Smilodon mouse, which was pretty much just a basic 6-button mouse with 3 DPI settings, up to 2000 DPI. My favorite part of that mouse was the shape of it, which allowed it to fit very comfortably in my hand, and gave a nice cradle for my thumb. The one I am using now, I just got out of a mouse and keyboard combo pack from Redragon, is the M601. It's a different shape from my old one, but it's still pretty comfortable so far. The only other major difference is the maximum DPI setting, up to 3200 DPI. So far, I like it. Especially the fact that I can use the software for it to change the speed in which the red light pulses. As far as the weights go, I agree that the weights in it don't make it much heavier at all, and I'm not the biggest fan of having the ass end drag a bit when I move it. Luckily, I prefer a lighter mouse, since my hands are not the best and don't take long to start hurting. So a lightweight mouse helps in this case, at least for me. Of course, you prefer the more expensive mouse, which is fine. But, for me at least, a mouse is a mouse. It serves a single function, and I don't need to spend more than a few bucks to get what I need out of it. So long as the mouse works consistently every time, the rest boils down to my skill (or lack of it). Granted, the only e-sports titles I'll play (using e-sports loosely here) are in the battle royale genre. Not as fast paced as CSGO.
I use this mouse. Ive had it for about 3-4 years and it's still really good. I haven't used any other mouse but I find it to be really high quality for a cheap mouse.
Oh hey thanks for reviewing my mouse! Most of my friends couldn't find a good review on my mouse but I'll show them this one! However Nick I think you went too far in depth about the texture of the mouse, to be honest it is NOT that bad and feels pretty good the more you play with it but then again it's just up to you. Thanks Nick!
The texture on the top is meant for a clicking method called "drag clicking". lots of gamers use this method of clicking. You can get an extremely high amount of CPS (clicks per second) when drag clicking.
Centrophorus used to use the AVAGO A5050 sensor back then, but on currently version, it does use the Pixart 3317 sensor. If you've run some tests, you would get to know that it's a *great* - and well implemented - sensor, specially considering it's price. Also, it is very precise and can hold up to track fast movements. Other than that, it's a great review. Love your humour! =)
I’ve had this mouse for about a year and it’s perfect compared to my old apple mouse and I’ve been using it for csgo, Minecraft, fortnite, and so many other steam games. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS MOUSE 8/10
This was my first mouse. It’s held up pretty well, I’ve been using it for about 2 years and the scroll wheel has just started to stop working. I kind of like the texture on the mouse cause my hands tend to get a bit sweaty. I’m not a pro or anything, but I got to global using this mouse with no mouse pad. It’s a good mouse for anyone on a budget, highly recommended!
This was my first mouse for my first pc build and it's doing me pretty good no complaints, but this is coming from someone that has never used any other high end mouse
Funfact: They added the grip cause 80% of the users who bought it are minecraft players, and the main reason its used is cause its one of the cheapest drag clicking mice out there If you dont know what drag clicking is its a clicking method where you drag your finger across the left or right mouse button in a forceful manner, causing your mouse to register more clicks, you can get up to 30 clicks a second with this mouse
I change my dpi quite a bit. 800 in cs, 1600 for normal desktop use. Other games vary depending on how much fine tuning is available in the sensitivity settings. If it allows to the hundredth (or sometimes tenth) of a unit then I will keep it at 1600 for ease of transition from desktop functions to game. If the sensitivity option is more ridged (many only have 1-10 with no intermediate steps) then often I will lower to 400 or 800 dpi to decrease the margin betwixt in-game settings. (I realize now that this is probably more than you were asking for, but I already typed it out, so I'm going to post it anyway)
i bought the redragon and i was impressed for the price but sadly i dropped it and it died to soon, But u brought up about the g502 mouse and i bought that and I Love It so thank you for bringing up that other mouse :D
If your a Minecraft pvp player that has unusually large hands than I have found that this is a perfect mouse for butterfly clicking. The bump is far in the back which allows your fingers to rest on the mouse buttons comfortably and the buttons are fairly big. The slight curve up around the edges at the end of the mouse buttons help a ton with butterfly clicking and I was able to get 11-14 cps within the first 10 minutes of using it
Just saying, I bought a combo for their keyboard and mouse and the mouse’s sensor bugs out a bit but it’s pretty good. Also they sell a nice mechanical keyboard with blue switches for $30 so if you’re looking for one I highly recommend it! It’s actually pretty nice quality
for information the sand paper texture is for a clicking method called drag clicking which is used by many minecraft pvp players it can get you 20-30 cps and it is one of the best mice out their for drag clicking
I bought this fucker like 4 or 5 years ago and didnt replace it until like 3 months ago. It's a pretty solid mouse, and I used it for about 50 to 60 hours a week that entire time. The texture was never an issue and never had a problem with the weight. I liked it so much that I bought another Redragon mouse
I completely disagree with the review and here is why: I have had this mouse for 2+ years. I am currently rank G on ESEA with an overall 65 headshot percentage. It is very consistent the longer USB isn't a problem and actually helps the wire not get tampered with like other mice. I bought a Razer Naga Chroma on black Friday and my Redragon centrophorus is MILES better than that piece of shit even though it has a better censor. The mouse is perfectly light so you can move it without getting any resistance which is what you should want in a consistent gaming mouse. I think the rough texture on the top feels good while I'm playing and it keeps my fingers still and in place which is a huge plus. The texture on the sides is also rough making the whole mouse a watertight grip for your hands. It is smaller so it lets your hand be the boss. I hate big mice that you basically drag instead of shift. On big mice you practically are just dragging it acrossed your table because it is so big. This smaller mouse conforms to your hand and easily lets your hand do the steering. In the end this mouse is for entry level gaming but even if you are a REALLY good gamer or CS/OW/ or whatever player this is STILL A GOOD OPTION!!!! It is a really solid mouse and is very reliable and indestructible.
I change my DPI everyday because I use 900 Dpi for browsing and desktop use and editting and 400 for gaming. The 900 gives the same hand and finger movement as I use 400 for in gaming for aiming so it keeps my muscle memory in tune that little bit more. Maybe I take it too seriously but it helps.
I spent too much on my computer because of the huge surge in GPU prices about a year ago, and I needed a cheap "gaming" KB+M. I picked up the RD KB+M combo for like $20 on amazon until I got paid again to buy something better. Joke was on me though, because I actually loved the mouse. A year later and I'm still using it.
I used to use the mouse for games like CSGO and LoL and didn't have a problem. Until the mousewheel broke. It just stopped working one day out of nowhere and this was after a bit over 6months of use. It's good as a cheaper mouse but the design isnt ideal for ergonomics. It has unnecessary sharp edges that Get annoying if you have a tight grip. I'd recommend getting a logitech mouse like the g403 as it will last much longer. Or even a bundle of a mouse and keyboard.
I mean, I had this mouse for roughly 4 or 5 years and it didnt have any issues till about this june where the wheel would get loose and the mouse wouldnt know it was spinning. It held up really well for about 4 years but now I have the Redragon Perdition.
love this mouse, am using it right now. I bought the logitech 203 thinking it would be an upgrade and I returned to my reddragon, really great quality and cheap
honestly i love this mouse’s shape and grip, don’t really feel any irritation while griping it ( much better than the G102 logitech ) The only downside is the sensor and the clicks get squeaky after awhile. edit: my hands are the same size as his and grip is perfectly fine.
I don't game a whole lot mostly just mild gaming in my free time, but I found this useful. Mostly because I'm into programing so I spend a lot of time with computers.
My mouse..got the keyboard mouse combo.. Love the cable its a good starter to make you look good. .went with my case nicely. Of course will go up to a higher quality mouse but this us better than the cheap crap mouses that give out in a sec.
To be fair I actual love the mouse, the texture is really nice. I got a bundle with this mouse and a keyboard for £25 ($35). They are really good for the price and I’m using it on my Xbox.
Mado actually no it doesn't. I bought it cuz my Logitech (the same Nick has) broke for some reason and i didn't have much money so i bought that. And i got used to it.
I got one when my friend got a new mouse and he didnt need his anymore. It works but its not game-changing. Definitely a good upgrade from an office mouse.
I have bought everything Redragon. Perdition mouse...Kumara keyboard and their headset. Everything has always been killer. You would never know they were cheap if you weren't told. I love their shit.
I used to use this mouse and I loved it. There was one problem I had was the sensor starting to stop feedback during flicks, but I loved it. I switched to a Mamba about a year and a half ago and I still miss the grippy feel of it.
@@AndyRobertooie Back then I ran a Razer Mamba Tournament Edition, now I'm on a Mamba Elite. The sensor can handle 50G of acceleration and 400IPS tracking.
I used that mouse for like 2 years when i started gaming and i used to play cs like 4 hours a day, it was really good and u made the mouse feel soo overrated
Using this mouse currently, I got it for free in a local bundle, classic "teen kids more out, leave mom with a bunch of gaming stuff she doesn't care about" sale. It works really well for FPS, missing the bottom weights but I am used to it.
The top of the mouse is sandpaper type because it's made for gaming and gaming mouse need a drag clicking system and to drag click you need the grip on the buttons of the mouse brother .
I have an Eastern Times Tech gaming mouse that is the exact same as that mouse but it doesn't breathe and it's black with blue LEDs. Also it's wireless.
I have this mouse, I personally love it, within a few months you will get used to the coating' and the weight changing door was very easy to open for me
This is actually a really good mouse for the price. That is to say if you just finished building a $1000 plus PC, then this is a super cheap and pretty good starter mouse. I personally don't mind the texture on the top of the mouse and I think it actually helps me move the mouse as I sometimes use light pressure on the top of the mouse to help control my movements better. Also side note, I've never heard anyone pronounced the company Zowie, like the name Zoey. It's more common to say Zowie like zOWie. Like you're saying OW that hurt. Anyways, for the price you pay I think it's hard to criticize this mouse too hard. You're getting a lot of features for so cheap, and mine has lasted me almost a year now. I've heard of more expensive mice breaking after a couple months.
I've used Razer Copperhead,Razer Mamba,MadCatz RAT 7,Roccat Kova...lastly I had this Redragon M601...best freakin mouse ever! I STRONGLY Intro it to everyone that lookin for a gaming mouse, all those major brand I use from above doesn't even last as long as this budget gaming mouse. The comfort is far superior...the design made it doesn't get oily or stained badly as those above major brand from long hours usage. Not to mention it come with quite alot feature, such as weight, braid wire, a few profile....though it has some con to it, it doesn't had profile setting driver or optional led function...but in term of value to quality and performance WIN HAND DOWN! If am gonna get any mouse soon again....I'll definitely look for Redragon again no more expensive crappy major gaming brand mouse, again.
I always change my DPI, I am a refragger/awper for my CS team and I use the g903. For me, I remapped my dpi to the side so that the dpi goes down to 400 when I hold it. It's great for awping.
I got this mouse with a keyboard as a combo. the keyboard was terrible and I now have a razer huntsman elite(really good btw)I still use this mouse. the grip doesn't irritate me. I mainly play overwatch for 35+ hours a week. it feels nice and I have used it since last November. I have heavily abused it and it's perfectly fine.
I once used this mouse with my first ever PC build, i used it for 2 YEARS! If your wondering if to use i would say, if your casual and play on high sensitivity: yes. If your a more competitive player that plays on low sensitivity: No, save your money for a 50 dollar mouse with a good sensor
I want to point out that the sensor of the zowie is not what makes it so popular. It uses a common sensor which can be found in other higher priced mice as well. What sets the zowie apart is it's weight distribution. The mouse is extremely lightweight and the weight is distributed perfectly. This makes a mouse that stops on a dime and is easy to control just from a physical perspective. The mouse is good because you don't have to compensate for little things your mouse does, like if you have a heavier mouse, I would start my flicks with more force and click in the Apex of the flick before slowing down so that I knew where it was going. With zowie, you just don't need to worry about that. The thing is a beast if you're competitive. I wouldn't consider it the most comfortable for long periods of light use, but it's designed so that human inputs are exactly what you intend.
my advice? spend the extra $5 and get the RedDreagon Griffin. It's far more comfortable, the ergonomics are really nice, adjustable DPI up 7200, and completely customizable RGB lights.
I used to use this mouse, until I bought G102. just a bit more expensive, but goddamn the difference in the sensors is crazy. One swipe each with the 2 is enough to make one realize how important it is invest in the right mouse if you are to play a lot.
I’ve personally been using this mouse for 4 years and I’ve definitely gotten my $12 out of it. I personally play 20-40 hours a week and can tell you that the texture on the top is noticeable, but not irritating. I used to use this mouse and I loved it. There was one problem I had was the sensor starting to stop feedback during flicks, but I loved it. I switched to a Mamba about a year and a half ago and I still miss the grippy feel of it.
Sir, I need to know what mouse you have, specifically something that can handle super flicks.
@@mattvzs8640 Damn its been years lol I just remember that it was a decent budget mouse
@@mattvzs8640 buy the m711 cobra much better
@@mhnd4772 lmao u replied 2 years later wow

Please check if Redragon M601 s/w is properly installed on your computer.
Where are the uploads nick
I have this mouse, I personally love it, within a few months you will get used to the coating' and the weight changing door was very easy to open for me
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DO THE MOST COMMON BUDGET GAMING MOUSE FEELS BAD like I wanted something that I never heard of
ken kenaki Its good that he does that to the most common one, that way we know why.
2 things:
There are tons of videos about the mouse
2. I have not seen a triggered person yet so I have to be one
1. I can't count
I've heard of more expensive mice breaking after a couple months.
let's go WOOPSIES
G502 is on sale right now definitely worth the buy
Redragon is popular in Romania, you don't know u Americans :)
AFK theGamer kinda ironic but nick is actually romanian
Just as Ironic, i'm an american with a RD mouse and keyboard.
AFK theGamer redragon K711 rgb ftw :)) 100lei
Even more Ironic I'm an Italian American and all my peripherals are redragon even my casefans and gaming laptop backpack. Redragon
You're not that educated apparently, you none American :)
been using this mouse for years with no issues. i really need to disassemble it and clean it.
It has a grip material because it makes it easier to drag-click in games. I dont like you cut g!

I loved the redragon. I bought it twice. Highly recommend it
what happened to nick...
Bangzy got fat
He got slim
he thicc
Redragon is a ripoff of MSI
The specific model in this video is the MSI Interceptor DS B1 I recommend the Interceptor than this
Yea everyone would buy that if they could afford it lol
@@ImmortalPiyush buddy that msi mouse is budget like I got it for 15$ and yeh is gud
I got Logitech RX1500 and holy shit it works better than any "Gaming" Mouses. cheep and good!
Deathadder elite ftw
U w0t m8? that's really not a budget mouse but it's the best mouse you can get right now
JOSEHEHE ok
I always change my DPI, I am a refragger/awper for my CS team and I use the g903. For me, I remapped my dpi to the side so that the dpi goes down to 400 when I hold it. It's great for awping.

I have the same exact mouse right now and it is really nice. I really recommend it!
bunyun army OH woopsies wrong page
nich bunyan!? I stopped watching you over a year ago... then csgo died :/ im glad to see you still do youtube!! im for sure subbing
2:30 They made it for a purpose, its called drag clicking and Im not gonna tell you alot but you have to slide your fingers so yea its made for that.
I immediately subbed after you threw those highlights
I've had that mouse for about 6 months now and other than a few bugs here and there, it is definitely worth the 12 dollars
dang this guy makes his videos interesting, subscribed!
All my peripherals are redragon even my case fans and my gaming laptop backpack. Redragon is my favorite brand
my new favorite channel by far
my advice? spend the extra $5 and get the RedDreagon Griffin. It's far more comfortable, the ergonomics are really nice, adjustable DPI up 7200, and completely customizable RGB lights.
From the very beginning, the videos are absolutely top notch quality. Is this really your first ever channel? If not you're a natural.
Watched or a minute and a half and thought I like this guy
Subbed and liked
I used to use this mouse, until I bought G102. just a bit more expensive, but goddamn the difference in the sensors is crazy. One swipe each with the 2 is enough to make one realize how important it is invest in the right mouse if you are to play a lot.
I used to have this mouse and would heavily recommend. I don't use it anymore but when my current one breaks I plan to swap back
The mouse texture is perfect for drag clicking btw
I've had that mouse for a year and it still works perfectly
