Okay so for those asking about the strumming pattern in the chorus, I use DDD U, where the space denotes a pause. But the chorus starts halfway through the strum pattern, so you just start with D U. Fully written out it’s: C(D U) Dm(D) F(D) Am(D U DD) G(D U DD) F(D U DD) For beginners this might be easier since the Dm -> F at the tempo of the song can be tricky: C(D U) F(D) Am(DD U DD) G(D U DD) F(D U DD) And then after the chorus ends you can do F(DDD U) a few more times before you start plucking again
i changed up the plucking for the intro and verses. the first half is like yours with a 1,3 then 4 on C and a 1,3 then 2 on F/Dm. but the next bit i changed so it resembled the original a bit more: 2,3 then 1 on C or open strings, doesn't really matter, not plucking the 4th string. then a 1,3 on F and then 3 on Am. the rhythm is the same as the way you did it, just a slight change in notes. keep up the good work, though. great voice and great talent.
Hello there!, I knows it's been roughly 4 years since you posted this but I'm super interested on other pattern since the one in the videos sounds off. Could you please explain a bit more about yours?
Will you make this video again slower, going through the whole song IN ORDER? Its so good you just need to slow down a little a go from the beginning to the end teaching each part slowly. Play the whole song adding in each part as you teach each new part . And try to get a better angle on the uke so we can see what your doing. Your so cute and talented. Love this song, just having a hard time figuring it out. Thanks for sharing your beautiful gift!
Very quirky rendition of From Eden (: I eventually learned it through a painstaking recreation of your chorus strumming pattern, which for future reference, even just a slower play through of would have helped haha. Otherwise it was great. I enjoy playing it. Don't be afraid to extend you future tutorials a tiny bit!
I honestly loved this but you shouldn't have rushed so much, I would rather an 11-minute video that gave me everything I needed than a four minute video that was rushed and confusing. This is still great though!
Nicely done! I have a quick question though, why do you play Dm chord in the intro? Since you play open 2nd string (C string), wouldn`t it be more suitable to play F chord then?
can someone who knows this well make tabs for it? Tabs are the best way for me to really learn uke music and I friggen love what she did here I just can't get it right though
i may be 4 years late because i only saw this video less than an hour ago but here you go. docs.google.com/document/d/1-Iyqc3mHO4TX7MhtdF7Br_7nS3rlNwgcD2iFm8u-8YQ
Hello, thank you for this tutorial, is they anyway you could do another one but more for beginners and showing hand placement etc. almost a step by step?
Hey there. You're amazing, very talented. Could you do a tutorial for this song on the guitar please?? (Bit slower for those of us not so musically accomplished...
This is awesome thank you! I've finally gotten the intro picking down, but my A sounds terrible, it's not at all working. I'm using a baritone ukulele,DGBE, and this is the first song on the first instrument I've ever tried. Any thoughts? Thank you!
When you hold A, second fret, first string, it looks like your hitting the second string. Am I right? Why? This is precisely where I'm getting lost. Thank you!
+Martha San Juan The way I play it, and I think the way she generally plays it is (starting with C) D U U D D D U U D D D. Thats the gist, if you can see the pattern is D U U D D . So its (C) D U U (Dm) D (F) D (Am) D U U D D (G) D U U D D (F) D U U D D (C, and it repeats). Like she said, you can fool around with the strumming and this is just somewhere to start. I hope this helps!
Strum pattern:
C(Duu) Dm(d) F(D) Am (duudd) G (duudd) F(duudd)
thank you
Just a tip when your making a tutorial leave the chords in the description and explain where your fingers go for each chord 😄

My prayers have been answered

Rafael Freitas That's what I do, made my life easier.
+Rafael Freitas I even just drop back to C at that point, eliminate the middle man entirely.
3:11 bookmarking this for practice lol (chorus)
