Love those laughs and smiles, a great choice Ash! But there is only one beatboxer (Adam), and there are always 5 members. Adam Rupp, Chris Rupp (replaced by Adam Chance), Tim, Rob and Austin. Tim's running base is often mistaken for beatboxing as it expands the percussive sounds. Home Free is my fav vocal band!
nope, only 1 beatboxer , but Tim's bass is sometimes heard as another drum, and they do sometimes double track to flesh out the sound on a recording. They do this one live, though, so a second track wouldn't be available to them on stage - at least not back then. They do have a looping station since 2019(?) so they can record the boring parts on stage.
Love this. Home Free usually does upgrades. They’re so good. This video is so cute. It’s like the movie Groundhog’s day (with Bill Murray) where the day repeats over and over. It repeated for Rob until he didn’t drink anymore and could go home to his wife sober. Adam is the beatboxer. The others can beatbox up to a point but they could be layering their sounds. The guy in the ball cap is Adam Rupp’s brother Chris Rupp. He started Home Free back in college 2000. He left the group to go solo in 2016 and was replaced by Chance. Good reaction you two! 😄😍
What is so crazy about these guys is they all can beatbox. They have a video out there with them all doing it. This is why they are the best out there. Somebody can pick up the beatboxing with Adam rupp and they're harmonization is just on point.
No there are 5 members Tim Foust bass lert side(dark long hair). Behind him is Austin Brown (sky high tenor). Next is Rob Lundquist lead tenor ( beard and glasses). Then there is Chris Rupp baritone (founder of the group) who left the group in 2016. And the last guy is Adam Rupp the beatboxer. When Chris left Adam Chance took over the baritone part.
This is such a fun video. Reminds me of the movie "Groundhog Day" where the same day is repeated over & over. Love Tim's super low bass in this one & Adam's beatboxing. It is so funny watching Tim getting all the extra drinks from Rob & the faces he makes. It is about being tempted but staying faithful to your mate. Drinking too much can let your guard down. In the end Rob goes home with his real wife who picks him up from the bar.
Home Free's collective sense of humor and lack of ego makes for great, fun videos. The "long legs" that pass them at the beginning belong to the woman sitting next to the man who sends Rob a drink - Tim's wife Jenika Marion. The woman who picks Rob up at the end is his wife Kelsey. BTW, they alll can beatbox to an extent.
PS - There's a live version (filmed by a fan in Scotland) called "Tim Foust's Vibration" - he literally shakes the venue . . . There are a couple of live videos where Tim breaks the sound system!
There are normally 5 of them, but only 1 is the beatboxer, Adam, but the others contribute their sounds into songs as well at times, especially the bass, Tim, you can hear him doing some low bass humming to the beat, so it may sound like beatboxing. Some of them have beatboxed before for short periods of a song when needed, but I don't hear anything but the bass and beatboxer in this one keeping the beat.
Great pick Ash!! More #HomeFree please - they can do it all from fun/silly to serious and everything in between. Check out their cover of Can’t Stop the Music and the Butts Medley/Remix and you’ll see the same fellow who waved at Rob (his buddy Beuggs) making more hilarious cameos. Home Free never disappoints!
If you pay attention to the story of the video it mirrors the video "Groundhog Day" Rob relives entering the bar at around 9:46 as soon as he takes a drink. He remembers he has a wife that he has to get back to so he has to reject the temptation to drink alcohol to break the cycle. It's only Adam Rupp beatboxing and Tim Foust is doing the bass.
I think of this as the 180-degree turn from one of their more recent, "Between a Rock and a Heartache" 😆 Actually this one seems very "Groundhog Day" with Rob's first sip of alcohol being the trigger for the repeat... Love the way the situation resolves--with his wife Kelsey❣️ #HomeFree
This song is a lot of fun! I don’t know how this song was produced but FYI each don’t remember can beatbox when needed! This song is like the movie Groundhog Day… Just keeps repeating! The best thing is that It’s Rob’s Grill wife pick him up after a night out with the guys!
Ash picked a fun one, good job. I did find you talking about your job quite interesting. I've always been fascinated by the science and medical fields.
The guy behind Adam Rupp (beatboxer) was his brother Chris Rupp. Chris and Adam started the group around 2001. Chris left the group in 2016 or 2017 to pursue other avenues. That's when Adam Chance known as Chance was added.
Though all of them beatbox in a few song, its only rarely. Adam Rupp is beatboxer and Tim Foust's heavy bass often sounds like beatboxing. The video takes after the Bill Murray movie Groundhog Day: every time Rob takes a drink they go back to the beginning when they first enter the bar. The 'long long legs' that go by belong to the blond sitting at the table when Rob get the shot, that's Jenika Marion Foust, Tim's wife and a great singer in her own right. The flirty guy with her is Eric Beugler, AKA Beugs. He's a good friend of Rob's and is his co-host in the movie review podcast called The Avid Indoorsmen. The lady who picks Rob up at the end of the video is his wife Kelsey Lundquist.
Always five but you MIGHT be hearing the bass line (Tim) as extra beatboxing. Live Adam (the beatboxer) will use a looper at times. In video's they do layer instead of the looper but everything they do is based on being able to recreate it live. That guy in the backwards baseball cap is Chris, Adams brother and cofounder of Home Free. He has been replaced by Chance which, while I won't say is an upgrade, gives HF even more bass goodness. Chance can cover the bass line while Tim sings low, mid, or high lead or harmony and vice versa. All the members can do some sort of beatboxing but most of the beat is created by the "drums" and the bass and Adam covers the "drums" for HF.
Just so you know, Adam Rupp (the Beatboxer) can layer his sounds and then they can add them later for Music Videos. Adam does this at live shows also, but it is still A Cappella. Plus, every member of Home Free can Beatbox some sounds., But Adam, he can do ALL the sounds. Just so ya know. It is like the band is singing, but in the videos, they are doing other thing. It is a Video. Great Post, guys.
There's always 5 of them. And although there is a dedicated beatboxer, he isn't the only one making other than singing noises. Matter of fact, every one of them do, but not in every video. Oh, and, it's a video, not live, so the beatboxing certainly can be layered.
It has been observed that there are five beat boxers in Home Free, but here, I heard Tim with a solid bass rendition that could easily have been beat boxing as with many songs the bass maintains a constant rythym similar to drums which are regularly associated with drums. In their cover of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 there is a clearer example of multiple beat boxers.
This is actually an early cover when Adam the beat boxers brother Chris was part of the group. He then stepped back and Adam Chance became part of it he group
Great fun! Love these guys. Subscribed for more Home Free! Listen to the Music, Wake Me Up When It’s All Over, I Don’t Want to be a One Man Band, Can’t Stop This Feeling, Ring of Fire etc. too many to list. Just jump in and pick anything and you will be Amazed!
Keep em coming I don't think there's a Home Free song you won't like!. Us fans are called Home Fries! Think you would enjoy their cover of "let the music play" from the Doobie Brothers
Great reaction, but I think you should get to know their names, all Home Free can actually beat box but Adam Rupp in my opinion is the best in the world, the lady at the end is Rob's wife

God that smile is contagious!!

3 of the top 4 Acapella groups have 5 members since the start of all of them. The other of the top 4 groups has 11 members! 👱♀👱♀👗👗👠👠❤❤
You guys make this old Australian rocker smile a lot with the way you interact with each othet thank you for making my day ..my name is Chris 😂
Awsome guys got me all smiles
they often layer in the studio recordings, however, Adam uses a loop station live to layer effects.
You two are adorable!
I think of this as the 180-degree turn from one of their more recent, "Between a Rock and a Heartache" 😆

Love Rob, Home Free is great!
They all beatbox ❤
#HOMEFREE.....so good!
Another delightful reaction, guys.
Loved your reaction Ash
It's Ground Hog day, every time Rob drinks his night starts over.

Actually, this group started in 2001 by Chris and Adam.
I think you have a typo... 2001, not 2010 😊
@@brendasorenson6186 yeah I did
Tim does the Bass beat…that along with Adam…you have the 2. They all can beat box to a point….adam is a great teacher 💗🔥💗‼️
Love this song so much! These guys are so amazingly talented. Love your reactions!
This was popular when I was in high school. This is one of those songs that used to be super popular but you never hear anymore
Absolutely love this song cover home free did this song better I think

We always say that Home Free doesnt do covers, they do upgrades! You definitely have unusual jobs!
Always five but you MIGHT be hearing the bass line (Tim) as extra beatboxing.

Sincere reaction.

Now you need to see the live version called Tim's Vibrations
👍👍Cool performance!! 🖖❤
This is actually an early cover when Adam the beat boxers brother Chris was part of the group. He then stepped back and Adam Chance became part of it he group
Ash, you're amazing!
Tim also adds a beatbox.
A short note: all of the ladies in Home Free vidoes are wifes or girlfriends of the guys.
The night only ends when Rob can go all through the night without drinking.
You’re both so charming!
Chris’s Rupp and Adam started the group
The young lady who (at first) seems to be the one buying Rob a drink is Tim's wife, Jenika...
If you want a good laugh, do the butts mix by home free sometime. 🤣
Keep em coming I don't think there's a Home Free song you won't like!. Us fans are called Home Fries! Think you would enjoy their cover of "let the music play" from the Doobie Brothers
You should do “Tim Foust vibrations” now. Same song but live. It’ll blow your mind.
That was Rob's real wife in the car, too.
Always had five members
This is just a fun feel good song and video. These guys love to be silly. CK out Brother and Cruise 💞💞💞
🔥🔥
Great reaction, but I think you should get to know their names, all Home Free can actually beat box but Adam Rupp in my opinion is the best in the world, the lady at the end is Rob's wife
Try hillbilly bone
The guys are having a great time and the music is great too.
