This is a instrumentation where the period instruments make exceptionally much sense. The modern equivalents are too brittle in the case of the woodwinds, and the horn must always play muffled and piano because it is too loud.
Gorgeous piece, and gorgeous performance. I remember playing in this in a friend's home with Bob Levin on fortepiano. At 4:09, I whacked the top C hard, then went up to the D, and it squawked horribly, and we all fell about with hilarious laughter and had to calm down before we could get going again! Happy days. (Don't know where that top D has gone to in this recording, mind you!).
I watched Tv program from NHK japan, 2022,January which was in fact performed 2019 January, before the covid 19 came. Even the fact that Ensemble Daloghi is from Spain,I didn"t know. The performance is really splendid! Applausu!
I saw ED this year in Tokyo at Hamarikyu Hall and they were fabulous! Lorenzo Coppola enjoys making music and this enthusiasm is passed on to the audience.
What a wonderful performance! The timbres of this ensemble are really rare to find and communicate something about the score that it is difficult to appreciate in other performances. Where are the other movements?
On 26 September 1784 M. began his famous Verzeichnuess aller meiner Werke following a near-death experience (renal-failure On 29/30 August through 4 September 1784-following a Streptococcal infection which he surviv’d only by the close-attention of his doctor and fellow-Mason Barsani) and his first entry (backdated from his composition date of March 1784) was this delightfully poignant Quintet in E-flat for Klavier & Winds which he claim’d in a letter to Leopold Mozart in April was one of his ‘best works’ in the genre-he compos’d very little that was not a technical masterpiece after that-starting his Catalogue may have had something to do with his coming so close to death back in Sept 1784
What a great joy to see the audience smiling.
Amazing performance!
Fantastic , great job :). Now i understand why Mozart himself considered this to be one of his best works.
I love this version so much, could listen to it forever!
Played in one of the most beautiful buildings in Barcelona: the "HOSPITAL DE SANT PAU" (1901) by the Catalan architect Lluis Domènech i Montaner.

Sublime, just a perfect way of interpretating this kind of music, and how it should always be. Awesome!
The ambience is perfect for performing this piece
Fantastic performance, I love the Seraphinoff horn.
Marvelous. True chamber music. I feel inspired.
thanks for this wonderful treat.
What delight. Playful witty elegant and a cream pie in the face ala commedia just when called for. Thank you.

l'unico dubbio sull'esistenza di Dio risiede nella musica di Wolfang Amadeus Mozart.....ottima interpretazione Bravi
Outstanding playing. Especially beautiful balancing of the ensemble. I wonder if this is the performance that is on their Harmonia Mundi cd.
Thank you! This is not from the CD, this was the first time we played this repertoire as a group in Barcelona.
Очень красиво
Bravo Pepo!!

Wow
Suena increíble. ¿De dónde son? Saludos!!
Those old pianos were quiet, need to bring them back.
Très belle interprétation ! Je préfère avec les instruments d’époque ça apporte plus d’authenticité
*bravissimo*
Ah, it's so much better with historically accurate instruments!
