i dont understand why people complain about cap badges having a possibility of 'copying' its annoying and humans complain too much. Look at australian and new zealand special forces. its literally named exactly the same as the British SAS, and I don't see anyone complaining about that. Like duh the british empire left a huge mark on the world, so what?! deal with it.
Yes it does look like a kids version of an army cap badge ....looks like a german one?..nope, looks Rhodesian, a bit , but as you state they weren't a racist group of soldiers...there's a youtube channel called 'five romeo romeo' and I can't honestly recall if the guy was in the seelous scouts or just a regular soldier , he was conscripted, but his recollection of the Bush wars and the problems for Rhodesia at the time are quite enlightening. Yes the country had a white rule policy which is not right in anyone's book but the way this old guy tells of his love for Africa and how together everyone in Rhodesia no matter what the ethnicity, could build a better future really makes one think. Sorry to get nearly a bit political but it's an interesting bit of history from one guys point of view....and curiously I remember one action he had where they engaged some of the rebels and when they over ran the position there was an officers DDR uniform on the ground!!!. Might not be 100% accurate tale from me but it's in the ball park.. The old east germans interfering in African politics/war. Great video m8

It's an honour bestowed to a regiment by the reigning monarch as and when he or she decides to do so....some regiments were given the title for service in ww1,some in ww2...its unlikely the ranger regt will have royal in their name....same reason we dont have a royal parachute regiment or royal sas

Hey mate. Here from Australia. Just wanted to know how i could tell from looking at a Brodies shape if it was ww1 or ww2
Hi,a ww1 Brodie shell has a tall rounded crown,the ww2 version Is shallower and not as pronounced
