When you say share research, what was your method of finding relevant research to your patient? Did you search by the most recent study? Or literally any research paper on PE for example?

How can one best prepare for internal medicine rotation

Did you ever get around to uploading the neuro rotation video? Thank you for the help!

I started planning it but it was almost an exact repeat of my other videos other than talking about how to do a good neuro exam. The shelf has a LOT of step 1 content and was easier to prepare for and the rotation was very similar to everything else I'd mentioned in the other rotation videos so I ultimately decided it wasn't worth making the video (been working on the series of 15 videos for applying and getting into residency)

Have you guys experience getting “locked in” on information in an overly narrow way? An example would be knowing all of the details behind the RAAS system, but when asked a more abstract, conceptual question (or asked to make an inference), you realize that your knowledge isn’t flexible enough to transfer to a more broad perspective? I feel like this is the largest risk posed by Anki (even though I’m a big believer in it). If you guys have experience with this issue, what are some of the ways you guys prevent this from happening when learning new information? I know an obvious first step is not use Anki as a learning device (you all have stated many times that it is a remembering device).

I think it's a learned skill. I think the thing that's helped me the most is I've continued tutoring the MCAT even through M3 year for a company. So I've been having to think of how to teach stuff conceptuallly (because I obviously don't have MCAT shit still memorized). So maybe you have some M2 friends you can teach stuff conceptually? Or other M3 friends to review blocks together? For me, it's being forced to explain stuff in ways I don't necessarily think of them that's helped me.

I am new to this so this may seem like a stupid question. I am starting my medicine rotation and I just want to know where I can download the anki medicine and OSCE cards. Plz anyone reading this help. And thank you.

You can find the AnKing deck download links on reddit or visit our website at ankipalace.com to get connected to that. Best of luck!

What's the name of the clipboard you recommended? I didn't see it in the ANKIng Amazon list. Also, thank you for the video! Super helpful! I start my IM rotation in a couple weeks 🙂
