My first time at Mac as well, was a very bad experience coz the makeup artist realised that I’m a newbie and she ripped me off. I asked for a concealer and she REFUSED to sell me that, instead she forced me to buy a foundation 4 shades darker which was super orange and also forced me to buy a primer n billed around ₹7000 while I had originally went in to spend a max of ₹2000. Ps. It was more than 10 years back. It was a really horrible experience, she was just so arrogant and bossy that I formed such a bad opinion of mac products and employees in my mind and I never went again for years. Then I finally went again n got attended by a really good mua and she was so good and helped me out so much with concealer, foundation and compact and those r the products I used for my wedding makeup and it was the best look ever.
I can understand that first time buying experience and so sorry to hear that it was spoilt by her for you😢 When I went to MAC for the first time it's back in 2012 when first MAC store I spotted in Ramee mall. It was a guy who assisted me to pick up and he was quite nice with me. Also when I went to phoenix mall store to pick up a lipstick around the time when the mall was opened, there was a lady called Angela who helped me. She was very kind and sweet understanding that I don't know much about the shades. However, my experience at the express avenue MAC store was quite different. I always end up having a rude n distracted MUA there
Evn I hate going to Mac stores...the staff will be standing at one corner chit chatting whether the person can afford the lipstick or no and crack jokes..I stopped going Mac stores..
Same type of experience but i faced in cloth store they never remove that magnetic pin after paying bill ....i crossed the store alram starts beeping....oh nooooo still feel awaaaaak moment

True akka ....I adore you and I relate with you so many times ...but I wonder how ...even this incident is matching ...am from. Coimbatore the staff in coimbatore mall think as if they are the owner for that mall ....same incident happened to me also ..prozone mall was newly opened and am who never went to mall before ...went with my family ...my family members don't shop much they ...asked me to but if anything I want ...I was searching for a good jean for longtime ...so i entered lifestyle ...in prozone ..the staff is being nice and polite with the girl who looked so modern without pants even ..she looked me as a robber since I was wearing a chudithar ...she was so harsh to me and my family even ...but I bought a jean for 2k the branded one it's called kraus ...the girl whom that staff was treating as a princess ...just went out without buying anything ....now i think ..i should have not bought at that time with the staff rather should have stepped out of the store .. reporting her behaviour to the store in-charge
