I feel the same way. It would have been better if Susu and their daughter met the reincarnated Tantai Jin. The book ending was way better then the film. Good thing that I checked the last episode first before watching the whole series.

It isn't the same ending as the book. In the book, Tan Tai Jin comes back to life, he, Li Su Su and their daughter live happily together forever. The film maker changes the ending actually 😅
@Trần Minh Anh this is the second one I heard has a good ending but changed it to be sad. I wish they following the ending especially it happy. I be getting all in these dang series lol say never watching C history drama again and then see something like this series start all over again.
