Great video. I was planning on doing it this morning, got stuck on the 1st bolt : all the bolts on my 2016/50k miles XV are rusty as hell. And now one endlink is stuck loose. Those 5mm hex and the screw pattern for the bold on the end link didn't aged well. Going to the dealer tomorrow to try to get new end links. What's supposed to be super easy is turning into a nightmare as I have to hit the road in 3 days.
Great videos. My wife has a 2016 Impreza Sport and wanting some upgrades. I assume most of these things you have done to your Crosstrek would be interchangeable with her Impreza. Like rear spoiler, engine mods, and this sway bar. Do you know if they would be or not? Thanks again for the great vids.
Did you upgrade the front sway bar too? I have a 2016 Impreza and I’m looking at the Perrin rear Swaybar & Endlink, the STI is cheaper so maybe I’ll go that route
Will this fit a 2017 Crosstrek? I looked at the website you mentioned and the dates that it would fit went up to 2016. Thabks again. Great video's, very helpful.
It was a muffler replacement and no, no codes. There’s no muffler monitoring sensors and the change didn’t affect any emissions etc that would be monitored and create an error code.
My 2019 Crosstrek feels wobbly on the highway. I seem to have to correct my steering a lot and the car tends to ping pong inside the lanes. Will a sway bar upgrade improve its stability?
@@AZAdventureInc No I have the same thing, with a 2017. I can't tell if it's "high profile" (Crosstreks are not high profile), a delay from the steering (it's electronic controlled if I understand how it works right, which probably gives you like 200ms delay in response), or the suspension. Hoping a better sway bar would improve the gust-of-wind effect, rather than shocks. But shocks or springs may be the answer.
@@ryanhill906 I have a 2017 crosstrek with the same issue. Great car otherwise but not planted enough at highway speed for my tastes. Will definitely go with modest springs or a sway upgrade or both!
was this a worthwhile bar to use, say compared to a Perrin 22mm. I guess what I am asking is was it stiff enough to make a difference or just go bigger?
I wouldn't know but considering the Crosstrek is already a high clearance vehicle intended for on/off-road use I don't see the point in making the suspension super stiff in an attempt to corner more like a WRX.
the annotations are hilarious, thanks for the content! i love it.
FYI the end link nut uses 14mm wrench the hex wrench is 5mm and the bolts that hold the brackets and bushings use 12mm socket

screw teh sway bar, that cleanilness is insane.

Some are some not, I'd have to look up parts and see if they fit application
Can you do a video on how to remove the front sway bar? I wanted to delete mine
Hi, will this fit in the new v2 Crosstrek as well or no? Thanks
Awesome video, thanks man!! Now I know what I have to do.
make more VIDEOS!
Did you have to tighten the bolts to any certain torque setting or just tighten them
Std torque for that bolt size
What year is it, I thought you needed to drop the sub frame for this?
2016 in this video
please what year Impreza sti rear sway bar can fit 2016 subaru xv ,thanks
Who ever disliked this vid is a hater.
This video is very informative , love your humor lol. About to buy this for Crosstrek!
I'm a fellow Arizona Crosstrek owner as well. Been checking your videos out. I have some questions. Do you have an email I can reach you at?
Do u have the part number for this sway bar ?
Just installed it on my hog too I and its great on mountain roads. Just got them on sticky Kuhmo tires.
Did you upgrade the front sway bar too? I have a 2016 Impreza and I’m looking at the Perrin rear Swaybar & Endlink, the STI is cheaper so maybe I’ll go that route
Only rear

If you look at the 2016 and 2017 OEM rear stabilizer bar part numbers they are the same, so the larger bar will fit all years to 2017...
Also, by any chance did the muffler delete bring about any CEL codes ??
It was a muffler replacement and no, no codes. There’s no muffler monitoring sensors and the change didn’t affect any emissions etc that would be monitored and create an error code.
do you know the torque specs for the bracket bolts and endlink bolts?
MtnXfreeride FT (fucking tight)
any mods youve made void your warranty? getting my 2016 whenever the dahm truck get here
Not that I'm aware of or concerned about.
Any issues with wear on the stock End links? Did you do any upgrades to them?
No issues
What are the black boxes you use to lift the car?
They are car service ramps: amzn.to/3Qvn2Nk
@@AZAdventureInc thank you very much
@@AZAdventureInc Sorry to bother again. I may have stripped the part with the alan wrench goes. Any idea on how to fix?

Don’t think the sway bar will help I’d be talking to the dealer sounds like your car has other issues
Perrin steering dampener lockdown, perhaps?

Im looking to do this myself very soon, at 4:30 when you say "The new Bushings" are you referring to the black things around the sway bar?
Yes the sway bar comes with larger bushings that have a bigger hole to accommodate the larger diameter bar.
@@AZAdventureInc Thanks a ton! I really need to stop watching your videos.... My wallet is not happy about it
Great video time to buy mine.
Just curious since I know nothing about sway bars... what is the intended outcome from the stock sway bar?
If you mean what's the benefit of a thicker sway bar, it's less sway (roll) cornering.
+Subaru XV Crosstrek Central .... thanks!
what size does the front sway bar have. heard impreza's 2012-16 can upgrade to the cross trek front sway because it's bigger.
Front sway is adequate, 26mm.
will I need to buy after market end links or will it bolt up to my impreza end links.
Should work with stock links
Your video inspired me to to get one, I would like to know what grease did you use on the bushings or if it's even necessary?
None
Subaru XV Crosstrek Central thanks! I just installed it today.
was this a worthwhile bar to use, say compared to a Perrin 22mm. I guess what I am asking is was it stiff enough to make a difference or just go bigger?
It helped body roll
but do you think an adjustable larger bar is more effective or about the same?

True
I'm happy! You have great tutorials! Are you planning on doing any engine performance mods?
No plans for that right now other than the axle back exhaust and removal of the charcoal filter.
Awesome! When you do those mods, please RUclips them. Your videos are most informative.
They are already done, check out all my videos on this channel.
Your oil change video will come in quite handy soon! Thank you, sir!
