Ruocco’s on 9 in Manalapan, NJ! A MUST

We met Stephen almost 14 years ago! He was on one of the earliest seasons of Cake Boss. Truly one of the best families out there, we are lucky to call them close friends. His two daughters, Bella and Gianna, his amazing wife Angela and of course Stephen run and operate Ruocco’s in Manalapan, NJ! If you live in the area it’s a MUST and if you don’t, make a date to go and check it out. I don’t like recommending restaurants because food is like art, subjective, but Ruocco’s on 9 in Manalapan, NJ is somewhere I know everyone will enjoy. It’s such a nice summer spot because of the outdoor area that’s shaded! We recommend the tripe, Braised Short-rib and ricotta gnocchi, artichoke francese, stuffed veal chop and the Pink Panther. The food is delicious because of the quality ingredients he uses such as locally sourced meat and produce. Also, he offers dishes like tripe, which is so hard to find nowadays on a menu. Most of the times when it is on the menu it’s not done correctly! Coming across a place like Ruoccos is far and few between today. It’s a good quality Italian restaurant where you can throw parties, go out to dinner, byob and they even have NJ wines. Trying to find a new venue or place to eat can sometimes be hard because you aren’t familiar with them but it’s always nice to change things up. I'm French Canadian & my husband is Ukrainian...we make everything homemade...lots of family recipes passed down through the generations. We know good food...but I'm telling ya Italian food is where it's at...everything is so perfected...I adore Italian cuisine👌🏻🤤🍅🥖🍷

I make my veal chop similar to this . But use fried eggplant , fresh mozzarella and prosciutto inside. Similar sauce also it’s insanely delish . Enjoy🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Wow! Need one in Ohio.
The tripe...my Mom loved it & that is what she craved when pregnant with me. Not my favorite. Everything looked delicious. You have such a beautiful family.

Tripe is one of our favorites but it's definitely not everyones favorite. It really does matter who prepares it and how. Chef Stephen knows how to make it super well.
